Wanted by hibs went up and watched the edingbourgh derby and had talks with hecky according to this http://www.footymad.com/hibernian/n...sley_defender_adam_jackson_931490/index.shtml Will do well in that league Jackson.
Could be a good move for him. If one of our main 2 CB's are sold it would have been good to keep him, but I understand he needs guaranteed starts & assume Hecky will give him that.
Good luck to him. Done whatever was asked of him when called upon. I wonder if we’ll take a look at Freddie Nielsen who’s just been surprisingly released from Wednesday. 6’7” Danish centre half?
If it’s true which it sounds likely i wish him all the best , shame if didn’t work out but he gave everything never hid but there were better at the club but he’ll improve and he’ll be a good centre back for Hibs imo .
In today's Chronicle it says that in all likelihood, Hedges and Jackson are likely to leave mainly due to lack of game time issues. Of the remainder, new offers are being made to members of the squad and Daniel stresses that he wants to sign Bahre on a permanent and that the latter says he would love to stay. The Coach also wants to hang on to Cavare and Davies if he can. With regards to Lindsay and Pinnock who have one year left on their contracts. The Club hope to sit down with their respective agents to negotiate extensions to their contracts.
Love to keep Jackson. Hedges just hasn’t done it for me. When he’s made an impact as a sub and then got full game time, he’s never been able to turn it on.
Can't be much fun for an eminently capable player sitting on the bench for so long. He appeared to have remained focused and did well when he took the field. Best wishes from me whatever he does in the future.
Who was the non league defender we were once after played for Chester or Barrow or summat lol Was very sought after at the time, think he turned us down
I would love us to keep him. A good player and a good professional. As good as the two lads Pinnock and Lindsay have been this season, in the championship they will be up against different forwards and both of them being 'left footed' could be an issue.
Had the chance to look at Doug O'Kanes chat with Paul Conway in the Chronicle as well now. He says " the goal is, to keep this team together. We have always believed the core of this team is a Championship squad and we have the youngest squad in the first three divisions in England. Our belief is that as players continue to develop, the squad will continue to succeed. We are hoping to bring players in on much longer term contracts than in the last four or five years." He confirms that once in a while, we will sell a player and the money received will be re-invested. It's all about taking the team to the next level. Regarding the increased revenue, PC says that promotion means another 5-6 million pounds. All of that, will be spent on the squad and it allows the Club to bring in players from places like Germany, who Daniel, PC and the recruitment team wanted to sign, but it was harder to do that in League One. He confirms that the appointment of the new CEO, will be done in the next couple of months. He goes on to heap praise on Daniel Stendel and says " we want Daniel to stay a long time and we'll talk to him about that when he's ready." PC states that a deal to buy the Council's half of Oakwell and its surrounding land was " in process", but he could not put a timescale on it. Finally if anyone is interested, the Chronicle has produced a 56 page magazine to celebrate promotion. It contains interviews with nineteen players, Daniel Stendel, Dale Tonge and Christopher Stern. It's available from the Chronicle office, or most newsagents at a cost of £1.50.
