Donny all day long. Not because I like them or that they're local. More because they have less potential to do ok in the Championship.

I'm hoping we do well in our first season back, but I'd also like to think that if we do struggle, there will be a few weaker teams.

Sadly, I don't see Donny getting past Charlton though.

The bottom line is that Sunderland just don't look good enough. Can't wait for their forum to get going.

On the evidence of what I’ve seen thus far tonight it’s disappointing that we only took 3 points off these teams this season. More quality in a 5 minute Bahre cameo.

Dreadful game. Not surprised there are so many spare seats.

Shocker. At least it’s a bit more exciting though. Is Pitman injured?

Pompy and Sunderland are very similar teams.....god, how far ahead was our football from that?
4 passes max then a big thump into the channels or straight down the middle....awful football.

Very poor. Good solid yellow and that was all. Mind you I thought ref was poor all game. Not biased but not very good.
Think Sunderland deserved to win Pompey poorest of the two. Given they aren’t great at home I think Sunderland are just favourites now

Portsmouth at home... don't fancy Sunderlands chances with such a slender lead... 2.0 back at Portsmouth in favor of the home team.. I would predict...

    :)

Like McGeady he has that bit of quality that can win you a game and he has been a big miss when he broke his leg.

Well done on your promotion and good luck for next season hopefully we will be joining you but we have a hell of a long way to go.

Your players will need to keep their heads if you’re going to get through as 1 or 2 of the Pompey players look like their up to a ‘winding-up’ mission in this tie. Burgess in particular. Can honestly see you winning this if you don’t get drawn into any stupidity.

Yeah I agree, I had the exact same conversation after the game and the need for us to keep our heads is essential as it is going to be a battle down there. Pleased its not just me who thinks they have a few dedicated wind up merchants.

Been reading the RTG Sunderland forum and was surprised that there were only 26000 last night.
They say there atmosphere was great but why so low a crowd ... for Sunderland?
Would it be fair to say that the fans have given up on the team already and are already resigned to whatever fate hands them.
