Rubbish, if another reporter wanted to run with it they would regardless of which other reporter ran with it. The sun is the shittiest paper ever. I dare bet many of the Guardians literate critics wouldn’t stoop so low as to compare the 2.
Right at the bottom..... PARTY POOPER Although in isolation the subdued parade looked rather pathetic, the funny clip was, in truth, an unfair reflection on Barnsley’s celebrations. After departing their home ground, the bus travelled to the city centre where thousands of supporters were later pictured braving the rain to honour the players.
Thats how online digital media works these days. First journo to the punch wins the prize. Its all click bait and advertising streams. The red tops have more of this ***** because they can afford more rats to go looking for it as they have the readership to view adverts. I dont think there is a good newspaper this day and age. The level of shitness is in the eye of the beholder. Barring a few journalists over the spectrum most of it this day is just screeching opinion rather than anything of substance.
I agree the Tabloids are full of *****, however, with that in my mind there is a hierarchy of Shiiteness, and the Sun is way on top of all of these. Next up is the Mail then the Telegraph. The common denominator with these papers is they support Tory and right-wing rhetoric that constantly attack the ordinary people of this country, whilst at the same time whipping crap to create a fervour amongst them. The Mirror, is more left- leaning but it does actually support and provide opposition to this Govt and the right. You mentioned the Guardian in the same breath as the Sun, and whatever your political leaning is, you have to acknowledge that the Guardian is classes above the ***** Tabloids. There is no prize in this story other than the shitenesss prize which the Sun wins hands down most times ( sometimes The Mail pips them)
There are some really good newspapers - unfortunately not only are they not British, but they are also very critical of the British government and its policies.
Not really. The guardian is an awful paper a handful of writers apart. The entire newstands the same. Just that some papers seem to generate an air of superioricy over others.
Forerunner to the Sun was the Daily Herald. My late Dad knew their Chief Sports reporter George Follows who used to sit in the Stand at Donny Rovers that my Dad was responsible for on matchdays. Unfortunately George , who was a very ethical /professional journalist, died in the crash involving Man U's team at Munich in 1958. He would be utterly ashamed at some of the utter tripe that that so called newspaper puts out under the guise of their version of true and accurate reporting.
It always confuses me as to why the working class person who buys such tripe as the S*n, Mail, Express etc, think that the media billionaire Barons who own these 'Rags', think they speak for them! Not one of these is domiciled in UK, not one pays a penny in tax and yet they run campaigns supporting , the Tories, sticking up for "Brave May!" slag off Corbyn and Labour and have steadfastly refused to report on the wholesale theft of our NHS, from right under our noses!
