100% bang on. If only he had some support beyond individual fans who seem incapable of joining together to bring the authorities to book.
What a top bloke. Wish we had more like him in charge then clubs wouldn't be on their arses/ allowed to get into that state. Would be interested to hear his solution to all of this.
I had the pleasure to meet him after the match at Stanley and he was a top bloke, proper down to earth and happy to talk and mingle with everybody, even queued with rest of us at bar
On a point of fact, Accrington FC were founder members of the Football league. Hovwer, they resigned from the league in 1892/3 after losing a test match to retain their division on status. Accrington Stanley FC joined the Football league in 1921 when the 3rd division North and South were established. That is not to say that the achievements of Accrington Stanley should be celebrated given their limited resources and small fan base. It is one of the teams whose results I always look for.
Yep they appeared or should I say they were mentioned in on of the best adverts ever A/S who are they ? Exactly!!!!
A brilliant tweet. Worlds gone mad . Read this morning, Real Madrid are offering Gareth Bale to Spurs. For a LOAN fee of £10m. Providing they also pick up half of his wages which stand at £600k per week.
BBC Teletext. £600,000 Per week Real Madrid have offered Tottenham the chance to sign their former player Gareth Bale on loan for £10m. The Spanish club would also want Spurs to subsidise about half of the Wales forward's £600,000-a-week wages.
It's not that anyone doubts the figure. Sometimes you just need to remind yourself about the ridiculous levels this game has reached and the fact that we, as football fans, shirt buyers and tv package viewers are pouring £600k a week into a footballer's pockets.
Sounds like a reasonable deal in today's crazy football transfers. A year of Bale for around £17.8 million. Might not look so great if he gets a lengthy injury, though.
