Nothing been announced yet. I would guess we'll wait until the close season to announce anything (if, indeed, there is anything to announce)- Nice still have two games to play etc.

We've all got our fingers crossed for a pre-season there yes, as our owners also own OGC Nice, and it's been hinted at! Gorgeous part of the world yeah, couldn't think of a better place to have a pre-season really.

With some of our owners owning Nice, our board was asked in a supporters meeting about having an away friendly against Nice. They said Nice already have their pre season tour planned so it can't happen. However the plan is to have a training base at the Nice ground and play some local sides on their training pitch, whilst having a fan package so those that want to can go out there to watch the games.

It's better than nothing and hopefully for the start of the season after next we get a friendly against Nice at their stadium.

Didn't realise anything that concrete had been sorted! I'll look out for dates then, couldn't think of a better way to spend my summer

If it's just a training camp then I don't think I'll bother, I'm guessing we'll just be using their facilities and arrange some low key knockabouts with local teams.

Edit. Sorry D3000, didn't see you'd posted almost exactly what I'd put!

If I was a betting woman, I'd predict first week of July. That's when they usually return, and usually the trip away is the first thing they do, followed by some friendlies more locally.
Just watch though. He'll take them to the Lake District for some yomping!

I was once lucky enough to spend some time in Nice, staying free of charge in a villa on the outskirts which was surrounded by vineyards. It was rosé but bloody lovely and I wasn’t shy.
Supped gallons of the stuff and enjoyed stunning food in some of the most picturesque restaurants imaginable. I’ve had worse months.
Stunning place. Go if you get chance.

I got probably the worst sunburn of my life in Nice chatting to a very nice girl from Sheffield on the beach. My chest was somewhere between lobster and 2nd degree and it hurt to wear clothes for a week. I hope that the girl had better sun cream than I did!!
