    The last one was published in 2011 also. Think the first one was 1996. He smashed out the first 3 books in 6 years or so - when the story was streamlined and focussed.

    Since introducing a tonne of new characters in book 4, it took him something like 12 years to finish books 4 and 5.

    So basically he has no chance - although he hasn't helped himself by writing about 10 spin off pieces that have no bearing on the story.

    Don’t know why he didn’t just get the books finished and then write the other stuff. Really annoying to see other books come out while so many people are waiting for him to finish these.

    Im sure he could finish them quicker if he wasnt so descriptive. I really hate his writing style but still wanna finish reading the books

    The whole series has been brilliant. I've been a little flat with the final series but I think it's partly because they're writing endings and the intrigue is finally being resolved with fairly heavy handed armageddon as it inevitably was going to be.
    However......if anyone puts a f*****ng spoiler up for the final episode inside a week after it's been aired......I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN LIKE A DOG!
