If anyone wants to cut my lawn for free as well please pm me you can keep all grass cuttings as payment. Surely a supporter liason officer is a full time paid job not on a volunteer basis, i would have thought this was quite an important position within the club commanding a decent salary. I dont get it.
Are the current ones being replaced, or are they just having more? If I had the time it would be something I'd be interested in doing.
I feel that it would be interesting to know the Clubs expectations regarding the time needed to fulfil the role viz: are you expected to roll up at Oakwell everyday, or can you work from home.? I suppose the answer is, your overall commitment will depend on the levels of contact you receive. Answering e-mails should be quite straightforward, but other "queries " might have to be dealt with by face to face meetings and that's an unknown factor. I don't know for certain, but I would think that a number of the queries raised, have some sort of repetition to them, so a FAQ section on the Club website could well be a useful feature. As it stands , for anyone with time on their hands, the incentive of a seat at home games, a ticket and paid travel to away games, attendance at Club/SLO meetings with ability to claim reasonable travel expenses, should appeal to some of our fans.
No not everyday unless it has changed for next season. Think it is usually a meeting every other week plus match days @Bondy can probably expand on that having done the role since it was created
Something very strange just happened. I applied for the SLO post the first time around but couldn't make the interview due to work and never heard any more. I have just found the application letter to Ben Mansford open on my computer screen. WTF
Cheers Gally. That sounds manageable especially as on one of the days, ( matchday) you would be at the ground anyway.
