Was incredible for us. So much ability.

Michael Brown owes him a career imo - never the same after that tackle.

He would have been crazy to turn Norwich down, The wages they offered set him up for life and if I’m not mistaken they were in the premier league at the time, (tho I could stand corrected on that) surely if you believe in your own ability you strife to play at the highest level possible,

They were in prem league but I don't think he played for them. He was quality and was knocking on door of England U21s at one point. I hope he gets some game time somewhere.

I always remember Mark Robins saying "he's going to be a very important player for us". Obviously before Mark and the (then) Board fell out over resources. I agree that Jake did exactly right to maximise his opportunities and I hope and expect that he has made himself for life with his moves. (Whitey will know) Be a nice swansong to his career to assist Bradford to rescue their fortunes. At 29 on Monday, he could have a good few years there if things go well. I never wish any Yorkshire clubs ill (apart from the Blunts, of course)

Hope he does well but he's not the type of player we should be looking at

He went to Bradford on loan for four months end of January for three reasons. To get match fit, to play for his hometown club and to hopefully help keep them up.

The 15 games will have done him good. He’s had a poor couple of years so just to get back out there was positive. In terms of playing for his hometown club, he wasn’t a Bradford fan, but a lot of the family are and it was nice for them to go watch him again. And sadly, Bradford were the worst side I’ve seen all season and were never staying up despite his best efforts. They’re in a sorry state. He didn’t play once the relegation was confirmed as Bowyer played kids etc.

But he’s not signed there now. He’s just got another year at Derby. He won’t stay there either, they’ve done some kind of FFP workaround. No idea where he will end up but at 28 he’s still got plenty left in the tank. And no, it won’t be with us. I love him to bits but he wouldn’t suit the way we play.

Quality player for us and a great captain . That tackle off brown was shocking . Wasn’t he lined up to go Newcastle in the next transfer window before the injury

The only consolation from that was that Vaz Te came on and scored three. The very best reply ever.

What did he make of it at Wednesday, Whitey? Could he do a job there or at Leeds? (Controversial with many of ours, I know!)
