To be honest I’d only keep these 7 players.

I was the same, I vastly underestimated the last promotion squad and their capabilities in the championship and this time round I’ll be cautiously optimistic with all the players.

I don't think we can judge any of the current squad based upon their performance two seasons ago.
They are all older and hopefully wiser.
They are playing a completely different style.
They now have direction from a coach they have grown with.
Finally they are coming off a successful season full of confidence.
This versus the last 7 months of the relegation campaign is a different world.
I am sure we will lose at least two before the season starts, but at least it sounds like we will bolster beforehand this time.
    Could be very exciting!
    Time will tell.

Lacked consistency?? Wow. I know it’s all opinions and that, but he was one of the most consistent performers last season. And pace? Doesn’t need it in his role.

    Jury’s still out ? You’ve already sentenced him .

You need to look up what "Jury still out" means. You use it exclusively for people you have an irrational dislike of.

No - I’m using ‘jury is still out’ in a way of saying that individual still has to prove themselves.
As in - BarnsleyReds ...... jury is still out.

These two sentences just don’t go together with jury still out

Forgot about Styles - yes, I think him and Green could develop into really good players.
So make that 8 players I’d keep.

And I'd say he's a better player now as well. Fit as a flea and ever present. Model pro.

If anyone is going to cut it in the championship, it's Mowatt.

I really don't understand how you have Green in that list and not Mowatt

Because he plays FIFA and thinks pace is the sign of a good player.

One of the funniest posts I've ever read on here that.

As I’ve said - I think Mowatt could be found out in the Championship because of lack of pace.
What little I’ve seen of Green I think if he continues to improve then he has the potential to light up the WELL.
