    2 to 2 1/2 hours by train from Dusseldorf. ..20 odd euro but might be included in ticket price.

    Eurowings from Manchester cheapest way to fly. Dusseldorf is the best night out :D

    Is it the place between Dusseldorf and Hanover? Been to both, so will await club announcement before deciding where to base. Hanover is a great night out, if not renowned for tourism as such. Spent many a night in the Brauhaus Ernst August.

    I could look forward to this.

    I've been reliably informed that closest airports to fly into are Dusseldorf, Paderborn, Dortmund or Koln.
    With Paderborn or Dusseldorf being best.

    No UK flights to Paderborn or Munster. Flybe do Hannover from Birmingham and Manchester.

    Dortmund only from Stanstead by Ryanair {used to fly from Manchester).

    I've heard of the Bielefeld Viaduct.
    The RAF bombed the crap out of it at the end of WW2 using Tallboy and Grand Slam bombs dropped by Lancasters.
    That's all I know.

    Ryanair fly into Dusseldorf Weeze airport which is the old RAF Laarbuch base and is close to the Dutch border.
    The town of Weeze is a 5 minute taxi ride away and Dusseldorf is an hour away by train.

    Yeah, seemingly the authorities blocked use of the name 'Dusseldorf' in it's description, but Ryanair continue to use it, bless 'em. 50 odd miles from Dusseldorf if I remember. We got a taxi.
