Totally agree mate. Got some right dogs abuse when he played for brum. He was accused of giving it the rods to Barnsley fans after we beat em at their ground. ******. I was sat at side of people who knew him and they acknowledged each other by waving just before he went down the tunnel. I know the person involved in the accusation in the media and pulled him to task. He wasn’t a fan of Edens. but to tell a downright lie and create a problem for Eden that he shouldn’t have, was reprehensible.
Massively underrated player as good in his position as Redfearn or Ward or Hendrie were in their’s. The best full back I’ve ever seen play for us and an all round good egg. Hope he does well.
People spent a good percentage of their time slagging him off for being too slow. He was the boo boys player of choice for a good 12 / 18 months.
He was one of my favourites in that 96/7 team and never got the recognition he deserved. Funny how Barnsley fans seem to have it in for our home-grown talents. I'll never forget that goal he scored against the Blunts (and he provided the assist for the other one that night and the one at bumhole lane).
