I find that a little concerning if we consider 23 pushing his age limit.

Totally agree DTN. As I've said previously, my former boss supports them as his Dad was a stalwart
Centre half at the Club for many years before going on to manage several league clubs.
He laments the Clubs recent demise. They will struggle to get back into the Premiership.

It is though isn't it? You sign him onto a 3 year deal and he sees that deal out hes 26/27. Suddenly a player you could have got 2-4 million for may then be worth pennies in contrast.

But where’s the sense in that? If you’re an established top end championship club then i get it but when you’ve been a yo-yo club then it defies continuity. We got promoted last year off the back of having a steady team.

Regulars who were used to playing together. All you do is start all over again at the off chance they bed in quick enough ready for championship football. That is of course you sell half your team

This is unfortunately what we are signed upto though. We are owned by investors and investors simply do not lose money, and a player on a short deal who simply will not sign a new deal has to be offloaded. These owners wont let contracts run down if they're worth anything, they'll be sold on ASAP.

That doesnt mean we cant be successful. Brentford do it very very well. We'll be a copycat of their set up, and I know itll work.
