It was poor because she didn't let them answer, before butting in with her list of quotes of what each of them had said in years gone past, and trying to crucify them for previous trite utterances.

Don't get me wrong - I think that people should be answerable for what they've said before. I believe that should be the case on here, although many posters seem to believe it applies to politicians but not to them.

My point is that there was only an hour to hear what this shower of spew were supposed to do from now on, to try and propel this country forward. Not that you'd have got much from them. And Maitlis was more keen on populism and potential headlines.

What I loved about that it was a question about islamophobia but they tried to twist it to be anti Labour Party - typical Tories.

I'm getting the impression that the ref and the VAR team want France to win.

It's all been a bit strange. England's disallowed goal and 1st pen for France not even looked at by VAR.

By the same token, Henderson not pulled up for a retake for being yards off his line when he saved it.

Problem being we have a system of politicians that is so boorish that people like Boris are seen as a change and his outlandish behaviour appeals to them aka Trump .
We won’t see the damage until it’s too late .

Under the law the opposition have no say. They could could pass a vote of no confidence after the new PM is in office. Boris's election could lead to defectors in the tory ranks.

You've got it right there mate.

    Corbyn's another one.

We need a gravitation back to the centre ground. We all know it. We all know it'll happen. We just need to try as best we can to make sure that there won't be too much damage to remove from all this hideous left and right extremism.

Rory Stewart is the only one who I've heard actually talk sense, last week on a phone-in on Radio 4 I think it was.

His tenure in Parliament could be short-lived if there is a GE. His seat is very Remain, and he is not very popular in Uxbridge at the moment.

He looks like a giant among those pygmies but he does sound like he’s talking to the ‘rationals’ in the Country. Sadly, his electorate is the Tory party membership. A group far removed from rational thought.

Certainly seems the best of a bad bunch. He’ll never get in though, because he doesn’t want a no deal brexit.

It’s a bit more than that. He was telling the other four that none of them could get a no deal Brexit through Parliament.

It was an amateurish and embarrassing episode which served only to illustrate what a set of loathesome, careerist, empty vessels they all are.
Apart from Stewart who is just plain odd. Opium will do that to a man.
If only Labour wasn’t stuffed full of equally odious and useless idiots we might have had a chance of getting shut of the Tories for a good while.
Never been such a shower of politicians and not a statesman amongst them.
He may be at odds with my views on just about everything but I think Rees Mogg is the most impressive of them all.

I think you’re right about her butting in, but she only did it when it became clear that the question wasn’t going to be answered. Hence the seemingly endless butting in, as nobody was willing to answer.
