But also to your point, we do need some championship experience in there to nurture the younger ones. Championship different animal to league 1. In quietly confident we will do alright next season though

I don't think that's totally true either. Was a very good captain by all accounts. Mcgheehan the most natural vocal leader on the pitch though

And to my mind, that's what you need Gally. Ideally any skipper needs to turn in consistent performances,
week in week out, so that if they have to be critical of any player around them, their comments are credible.

If and when Davies does go, we surely can only wish the lad nothing but the best. ? Unlike some, he at least
remained loyal and signed a new two and a half year contract in the January of 2017.

He must have impressed to retain the captains armband for as long as he has, but personally, I like to see an outfield player given the role. McGeehan could possibly do it, or one of our defenders. We will just have to wait and see on that one.

Kieffer Moore was Vice Captain and Outfield Captain last season before injury. Then it went to Mowatt I believe.

From what I've heard and seen Davies was a fantastic captain and he should be congratulated for his part in creating the togetherness that helped get us promoted (as well as the 19 clean sheets).
