Just having an argument at work with two females.
They think that Richmond sausages are "the best in the world".
At that point I threw a wobbly and told them they must never have tasted a proper sausage from a proper butcher. I can`t stand a banger where poor quality stuff is mangled beyond all recognition to a paste.

So - where do we think we can source the best quality banger?
( Can you tell I`m bored at work?)

Cumberland sausage from a butcher. Sliced down the middle cooked inside and out so it browns and is crispy on the edges. Put it on a breadcake with HP brown sauce.

Anything that has a meat content of 90% and above is alright with me.
I like a nice a pork and apple sausage.
As far as branded ones, HECK ones are alright. Other than that the premium own brand from Sainsburys/Morrisons/M&S are nice.

Too peppery for me and that’s living in Cumbria. Decent tomato sausages at Canon Hall

I think there's a tipping point with meat content. Too high is as bad as too low as it doesn't have the proper texture

Canon Hall and Jump butchers both make excellent tomato sausage. The tomato sausage rolls at canon Hall is to die for.

Richmond sausages literally have around 15-20% meat. Make me feel sickly after eating one. Can't beat butchers tomato sausages

I'm no food connoisseur but Richmond's are vile, they're just mushy nothingness.

Linda McCartney sausages are the best by miles. No lumps of gristle.

Never found gristle in any veg to be fair. EU are considering banning burger and sausage in the description of those that contain no meat
