Heard the rumours knocking about this forum about Bet365 becoming new sponsor, now club has confirmed CK Beckett are ending sponsorship with us. Anyone heard anything about the new sponsor for the kit?

Hopefully it won't be Bet365 or any other shady gambling company.

I hope it isn't. If it is a Gambling Company it's a shirt I will never buy.

Just buy a kids shirt, they can't have the sponsor on!

All this transfer business with Stoke could suggest Bet365 might be a way to hide transfer fees through shirt sponsorship

Why would we need to do that?

Just thinking how some clubs/businesses like to disguise things in their accounts. Not saying either BFC, SCFC or Bet365 would, just a thought that crossed my mind. Anyway, why would Bet365 want to sponsor anybody other than Stoke ?

Now that the betting companies have agreed not to show ads before the TV games, they are going to want to do all they can to make sure their brands are visible in other ways. Plastering their names on as many of the teams shirts as possible must be high up on the list...

Doesn’t matter, would have to show transfer of funds between businesses etc.

Out of interest why are they shady?

They seem pretty up front about how they make money to me.

I understand people not liking the idea in a way but I’m not sure we need to miss the boat for any longer - sponsorship in championship football has a massive majority of betting companies. It’s where the money is.

We’ve been sponsored by smaller local businesses for too long, the owners are right to make full use of the opportunity.
