Now i've read the match report first couple of decent test playing nations in Pakistan and Sri Lanka we've lost. With New Zealand, Australia and India to play. What a french connection. Hate over hyping of anything. Flat track bullies.
That was a really bad result. Three tough games yet to come. After showing so much promise, could be a real struggle to qualify for the semis.
Embarrassing. Went in with the wrong attitude thinking we just had to turn up and it was a gimme. Hopefully it's a much needed kick up the arse but at the moment can't see past an India / Australia final...
I didn't watch the game - I was going to watch the highlights later. I knew how the match was going after the first innings and thought there is absolutely no way that England will lose this. How wrong was I.
Me too after the way Root, Stokes and Morgan had been batting. Sri Lanka made the right call to bat first.
Sri Lanka bowled brilliantly to be fair and it wasn't an easy pitch to score runs on. England got bogged down and I think they were complacent, leading to not taking runs and a few absolutely threw their wickets away. Great game though, real tension and well done Sri Lanka
Malinga's deliveries are shockin how the authorities allow it is beyond me. Wen he releases the ball is above the non strikers wicket. Sooner he ******* retires the better
