    Davies - Collins
    Jackson - Andersen
    Fryers -
    Hedges - Thomas

With possibly Lindsay going he will need replacing too.
Before list was announced i was thinking we still needed a Winger. Am and 2 x CF and possibly a Full Back

Does Fryers need replacing if Ben Williams can do the job he did?

I'd say we need another centre back and another striker definitely. And then next in line is another CM and a Left back

Do we really need two more Centre forwards? Moore, Woodrow, Miller and victor so far. I think one more might do for that position.

Andersen sounds like a replacement for Lindsay more than for Jackson. We would need a solid cover CB, but not necessarily an immediate starter.

Definitely, that’s not a strong centre forward line up for this league, l thought our biggest signing would be a striker.

I reckon I could do the job Fryers did. Not make the squad on a Saturday and be paid loads. In fact, I reckon I'd be brilliant at it.

Replaced him with higher wages on one of our other signings I suspect.

Yeah I agree one big signing to push or maybe even start over Moore and Woodrow. But I would like to see Miller in a Barnsley shirt before I judge him. I’d like to see Victor go out on loan from what I’ve seen he isn’t really up to things yet.

But if miller hits the ground running in pre season and we add another wouldn’t we be happy with those 4?

Adeboyejo had his moments, but the majority of his brief appearances as a substitute didn't really inspire that much confidence. That was also a league below. He is a prospect who could perhaps benefit from a loan spell however I really don't believe he is a first team player right now.

As for Miller, I am very doubtful he can hack it in the Championship. Although the owners signed Woodrow, who wasn't amazing at his former clubs and made a sudden and consistent impact for us, Miller was playing for bottom-of-the-league Bradford, where he scored 3 goals in 39 appearances. According to Transfermarkt, he only scored a goal every 639 minutes, which is pretty uninspiring for a centre-forward. I don't know what variables are used in the owners' spreadsheet, but I can't really see what value we are going to get out of him. That being said, I really hope I am proved wrong!

In any case, we definitely need a new striker. A lot of people criticised not signing a new one in January, and I was optimistic about the situation until Big Keef got injured. We also had Woodrow out at the beginning of the season before he even kicked a ball for us. We can't afford to take that chance again and we need a solid competitor for a starting spot in that position. We have struggled in the Championship over the past few years and if they really want to get a foothold next season, we need to score goals.

For me the thing with strikers is this:

Put them in a bottom of the league team = 5 goals a year
Put them in Citeh's team = 30 goals a season

One if not two. It's important though that those brought in are able to push for starts. We don't want it as obvious as last season that Moore and Woodrow are going to start all the time. We need someone to keep them on their toes.

Can’t really argue with that assessment mate.

I agree fully on the victor statement and also that we do need another striker at least.

However I’m not really reading anything into Millers time at Bradford just yet, I will reserve judgement until he’s performed for us. Someone has seen something in him and I’m excited to see what that is. I’ll imagine we will have a rough idea on this one during the pre season games.

Why do people always list the players we have for a position regardless of first team suitability. If Miller and Victor are going to be the 3rd and 4th strikers in the squad we really will have problems. I imagine Victor will be sold and Miller sent out on loan.

I ain’t sure what you mean really, if what you’re saying is we shouldn’t class Victor as part of the first team then I think the amount of games he played last season would suggest otherwise. Personally I agree he should be sent on loan, I don’t really rate the lad.

But why in your opinion should Miller be sent out? Surly he should be given the opportunity to prove himself at this club before we ship him out?

I'm saying they shouldn't be used to argue we are okay in that position. It isn't just you, a lot of people on here do the same when evaluating squad strength. Miller struggled in League One last season after earlier showing some promise in League Two. He hasn't done anything to suggest he can be trusted with a place on our bench in the Championship.
