How was she entitled to be there it was a private invitation event and she didn’t have an invite? Rumours are also emerging that they entered via a fire exit, if true that doesn’t sound like the actions of someone entitled to be there
Doesn’t look like it, quote from Greenpeace: A spokesman said he would not comment on how the group managed to evade security to get into the high-profile event.
A security guard is trained. If I ‘restrained’ a customer at work, I’d be suspended, if I’d been shown to use unreasonable force, I’d be sacked. The security guard is trained to know what unreasonable force is, and if he used it, he’d be sacked too, but he wouldn’t, because he knows the rules.
It wouldn’t have made the news because the security guard isn’t a government minister, but it would have still been wrong and he’d possibly be suspended too.
Do we have any instances where this fcker has comfronted a bloke or is it as I suspect just women & kids?
My post was ironic, reflecting what I considered to be the nonsense posted before me. And looking at the next 3 pages - additional nonsense. What he did was just wrong. He should be called out for it and those that defend his action should be called out too. A little disappointing to see you were the only one to call out my post, but we’ll done in any event.
So just to be clear this guy thinks beating women and Children is ok and it’s annoying that lefty do gooders are interfering. Leaving aside the dubious argument about parents having a right to smack children. Is he seriously suggesting that men should be free to beat their women. Guess him and Boris are on the same page there then
I think he was a bit OTT in his response, but there are a lot more serious issues in the news & I think calls for him to lose his job are a bit over the top. The protester hasn't pressed charges. The security in the venue need to be replaced however. He should have been able to call them over to deal with it. There should be male & female security on hand also.
Looks like a proper pussy, he grabs me like that and I’d knock him out. Just another over privileged idiot thinking he can push women around. And by the way as someone who attends a church if someone comes calling about climate change I’m pretty relaxed, If they come shouting God is great id be hitting them with a chair. He clearly knew the context.
It’s definitely assault by the definition of law, another criminal in parliament though? Hardly a first is it!
Think he did exactly the right thing tbh. What if she was carrying a weapon, injuring or killing someone and nobody had stopped her? Then folk would be lambasting everyone in that room for not trying to stop her? Worlds clearly gone mad siding with that protester and it’s not good to see...
How is leaving her arms and hands free going to stop her reaching for a weapon? Police don’t apprehend people by putting one handcuff around the back of the neck do they?
To be fair he had limited options, steering somebody by the back of the neck probably offered more control. If he had grabbed her by the hands there is potential for more injury, heaven forbid he had put an arm round her, he would probably be on a sexual adult charge now. The woman was plainly not there to distribute leaflets ( what good would that do in that room?) she was female cannon fodder sent by Greenpeace to create a nuisance and get herself chucked out and grabbing headlines, mission accomplished. If it was just a leaflet thing why not send an hairy arsed bloke? Plenty of hind sight wisdom being shown on here but given the increasing number of fanatical nutters in all shapes and sizes now, why take a chance?
