A fantastic and very heartfelt statement from someone I don’t know personally and have never met - but realise after reading his statement what a true gent this fella is. Thank you Adam.
Are you a English teacher. All you seem to be doing is correcting people on their spelling when you can tell what their on about...
I'm sorry to c im go, but life goes on. The Team and Club r still ere, and we are still ere, gud luk Adam and all the best. C.O.Y.R
I was not correcting anyone on their spelling here, I was commenting on what he said. If I were an English teacher, however, I would be very disappointed with you. P.S. I am curious what you consider the correct spelling of 'career' to be if you interpreted that post to be a commentary on spelling.
It was more you pulled my post on another thread and another posters aswell as this one. Excuse my English I haven't had a English lesson in near on 20 years so it could be a little rusty apologys in advance but it isn't needed in my line of work. So I will carry on debating football with poor grammar and bad spelling but people will know what im on about.
It was simply a humorous observation that you both made the same mistake within a few mins of each other. I have no interest in your literacy and am confused why you’ve decided to pop over to this thread to have a jab about it.
He wasn’t just one of our best players, he was also team captain. Maybe Stendel really wanted to keep him until season end to minimise disruption, as well as for his ability? Especially as he was the only player remaining from our last promotion from that league (with Isgrove out on loan) and our young squad benefits by having experience.
I thought he was absolutely fantastic this last season. He's now one of the players I'll remember forever. I wish him all the best.
And one of the good guys in football. Honest pro. Lovely bloke. And brilliant at goalkeeping. Club legend.
You're delusional if you don't think Stoke is better for his career than Barnsley. He'll get Wales caps much more easily, for one.
Cheers Davo-o Great statement and thanks for the memories, excellent keeper who has steadily improved over the years culminating in an outstanding season last year which played a huge part in getting us promoted. New keeper has big boots to fill Good luck.
Much as it saddens me to say it, he is far more likely to get his chance at international level with Stoke. I don't particularly fancy them to go up this year, but they probably have a better chance of promotion than us. Either way he'll be a lot better off financially. I hope this explains my initial statement regarding his career a little clearer.
