A spell away may make or break him.

We are however taking a big risk in not having an obvious class goalie.

How do you know we don’t have a class goalkeeper? I’d hope you’ll judge the 2 we have signed from the game time you see in the future rather than what you don’t know about either of them right now.

OK. Is Walton our class goalie? What about either of the others? Do we find this out in December?

Tell me now how our number 1 is.

Nope, Walton will be third choice behind the 2 that we have signed as others have already said.

We’ll find out and judge for ourselves when we see the 2 that we have signed in action as I said before. You can make up your mind after 90 minutes, 9 games or 90 games, totally up to you.

I would say Radlinger will be our number 1 at the start of the season but Collins should push him for the starting spot now and then be our number 1 in a couple of years.

How come after a couple of years Walton isn't number 1?

Because the coaching team must not think he’s good enough to be number 1 in the championship.

He has good games and bad games. His performances against Walsall and Luton last season were polar opposites. He clearly isn't the finished article yet and needs game time somewhere else to become more consistent. Brad Collins has proved himself and at an unfashionable club. He was the 9th best keeper in League One last season with 11 clean sheets.

I can live with that. Long as we understand he's on the scrap heap.

And that we have more fires to extinguish.

Or perhaps jigsaw pieces to find.

Brad collins has had full seasons at league 2 and league 1 level..... Walton needs the same exposure, playing week in week out.

    I understand the goalie situation.

It might fall into context when we have a backup striker, decent left back, one extra centre back, and a couple of extra squad players.

So if we put walton in and he has a few bad games and ponty starts moaning and groaning just like they did with davies and it shatters his confidence just like it did with davies then where do we go?? Im sure the dogs abuse davies got 2 seasons ago was a big part in him leaving this season. Walton will be better going to league 2 on loan and playing a full season and learning his craft without the pressure of the championship and the ponty on his back!!! Im sure the two new lads will be fine i just hope we get an established no.1 and they arent choppin and changing every few weeks.....

    There are three of them.

Obviously Walton is poorly regarded. He won't get a chance.

I know. We're well short of players. When does the season start again?
