Wouldn’t surprise me if Hull were interested now McCann’s there!

How confident are of you if this getting done? The Donny fans I speak to say he’ll be a great signing!

We had neighbours round last night. Their son is in a GCSE year with Wilkes sister and knows her quite well Apparently he is leaving Leeds this week.for a championship club where he can still live in Leeds. Make of that what you will, doesn't rule out Hull either I guess

If he joins we will have four wingers....are we presuming that thiam and brown will play up top if needed now or do we we still need a striker?

I'd still like a new striker and send Victor out on loan

Think that Wilks can play up top. And we have Bahre who did a job off the striker last season. But I would still hope for another striker.

If we ‘make do and mend’ we will struggle in the Championship.
We need strength in each position - that means 2 more strikers.
Stendel mentioned wanting more wingerS - Not winger.

Wilks plays naturally on the wing and centre forward

A former colleague commuted every day from Hull to Wakefield. It's around 125 miles round trip.
He found it OK until it got to winter, when he encountered hold ups due to roadworks , adverse weather
    conditions and accidents.

On those occasions, he was often delayed. It was no problem when he was due to be in
the office all day, but if we were travelling somewhere on a call, it inevitably meant we were late which is
    not good really.

Based in Leeds, it will be much easier for Wilkes to do the 60 odd mile return trip from Leeds to Barnsley.
Another possible attraction for the lad, is that if he does join us, he will have Alex Mowatt on hand to help
him to settle in, plus with our policy of signing younger players, he's more likely to get a game.

Not sure who you are quoting there, but yes 2 more strikers would be good if we intend to play 442. However if we intend to play Bahre in a 4411, which worked well last season, then I think one more striker should suffice. Especially if we think miller can make a contribution.

I've never mentioned Tom Eves other than last season when I was praying we wasnt going to go in for him, luckily we didn't. Tyler Walker interest is still there, club want him. Deals can take weeks to happen, this isn't fifa.

It amazes me how you pass on info which time after time is correct and you get daft comments like this.

    Cithi.

Leeds reportedly got 2 of their transfer targets through so that should allow Wilks to move to us

I didn’t read that as him having a go mate, I think it was a genuine question.

Look, you volunteer information, no one drags anything out of you. I was asking in a genuine manner. You then come back with a bit of snide
You want to learn some manners Have a bit more awareness and discernment about who are actually slagging you off and those that ain't.

If we intend to play 4-4-1-1 then the priority is competition/cover for Bahre rather than another striker. Or a number 10 to go straight into the team with Bahre as the cover because as technically gifted as he undoubtedly is, he had some absolute stinkers.
