........ a manager will only take so much of the revolving door.
Robins was an example of this.

We all know that it’s a new start for these new owners - but they have to be aware that we don’t and shouldn’t be putting our manager under undue stress to continually RESCUE the club.

Knowing what The Plan for the club is - what would you have done?

If anybody is stressing him it will be people like you. He may be happy for all you know.

Another over reaction.. you do realise that a team has more than 3 players?

Fed up that we’ve sold the best 2 CBs in L1 for £5-5.5 million whilst Luton sell a young FB for £8 million.
I don’t care about the last year of contract - they are undervalued & it’s ripped the spine from our team. If Kieffer leaves, we should all give it up! I thought it’d be different - I’m not so sure

I'm confident it will be different but the players we're losing for a pittance were signed before the new lot took over. Hopefully we'll see better retention or higher value transfers in the future.

No but the original post is saying starting from scratch.. Just complete rubbish.

1 keeper leaves, replaced with 2.. 2 CB leave (not counting Jackson) and already we have 2 in with more to follow. But yeah let's panic without giving any of these players a chance, I'm sure that will fill them with confidence that we are behind them..

You seem to think we're all arseholes for lamenting the departure of an excellent player on the day that player has left. I don't agree with that assessment.

Perhaps one or both of Lindsay/Pinnock had minimum release clauses, which obviously their agents would know. I’m sure Conway and the others didn’t get as wealthy as they are by selling assets for less than they could get for them.

Our success last season was built on the rock of the centre backs and goalkeeper.
We can’t point the finger at the owners because they have left.
Their contracts were signed before there was any real stability at the club.
But the owners have to be aware that it’s going to be a huge task for Danny to hit the ground running and co-ordinate a strong defence in a very competitive Championship.

Everyone should be disappointed that Pinnock has left, but the reaction from some is laughable.
The real tragedy of this transfer is this was his big move at his age he won’t get a better chance, unless Brentford get promoted he will struggle to progress up the chain, which is a shame.

Having supported the club for most of my 62 years Ive witnessed the revolving door operating on too many occasions that nothing really surprises me anymore.. There's been times when I've given up hope of ever seeing Continuous success. I've lost count of the times the club has shot its self in the foot.. Too many times I've seen the club going in one direction only to change tact and go off at a tangent creating mistake after mistake.. Many a time suffering the consequences of relegation bouncing back at a later date and then making the same mistakes that they did previously, that then resulted in the same recurring problem... Ive lost count of the times I've heard the saying.. Its better at times to take a step backwards to rebuild and come back stronger... What a Load of bull.. We never learn.. We step backwards bounce back and then hey presto we tread water and never move forward, making the same mistakes as before... And guess what here we are again.... Yes I appreciate that up to press 3 players have moved for higher wages unfortunately 2 out of 3 could have and should have been sold for higher prices than they have. Once again the club have seen pound signs lost the nerve to gamble and sold to the first bidder... Disgusting.. In my opinion but.. Nothing is going to change... We can shout from the highest roof top we can protest in numbers but nothing will alter.. We still have that small club mentality no matter how you dress it up... Hence nobody learns.. Different owners same old routine.... Same frustration within the fan base

I agree with you on this. Going back to London after one match last season we travelled with Ethan’s Mum and Dad. They are obviously very proud of him and what he has achieved and explained how he was determined to play at the highest level. In that context a move at this time to Brentford seems rather odd. He is a good man and we should all wish him well.

We have lost Davies, Lyndsay and Pinnock, all at the end of or in the last year of thier contracts. All been offered new contracts that they have turned down, no surprise or big deal that they have gone and the club has done exactly the right thing, they kept Davies to get promoted and let the other two go for decent money instead of losing them for nothing. Looking forward to seeing the new keepers and defenders, you reds.

Why are we shouting from the rooftops? The over-reaction to this is laughable. We have offered new contracts to three players who have decided to move on. Who knows what clauses were in their contracts? Why not go to Oakwell, back the team and enjoy a Saturday afternoon out? Trouble is that many people think that their season pass entitles them to run the club, choose tactics, spend other people's money. Lighten up. You have no control and if you don't like what you see then don't come

I'm guessing that as he said in his interview last week that the club MUST keep Ethan Pinnock DS isn't happy and more likely is deeply disappointed and disheartened by the club selling / losing 60% of his first choice back five and one of his back up centre halves wouldn't be surprised to see him jump ship before the end of the week.
