I can’t imagine it being McGeehan’s fault tbh, great lad and really nice bloke. If it’s true then it depends on the context, heard loads of ex-pros saying it’s part and parcel of the game, and it would be weird if people didn’t kick off every now and again. Also you don’t have to be all pally pally with everyone you play with, Andy Cole and Sheringham weren’t on speaking terms at Manutd, didn’t stop them playing together and doing pretty good.
We got him for nothing so we haven't lost anything. He has already been in bother last year for refusing to.board the coach. If I assault a work mate I'm gone.
If we had a star player and he had punched another of our players would you still be advocating getting rid of him Genuine question ?
Assault is a very broad term, doesn't have to be a hit punch or thump. Unless we have the context of what allegedly happened then no one can comment. The Stendel incident is different as in players tweeted straight away and he was bloodied
He dunt **** about does Twillo so I’m inclined to believe him here. If it’s Cavare again he’s going to get moved on sharpish either by loan or permanent. It could be related to the thread in question yesterday that got deleted..Can you expand though at all @twillo
We've lost a potential fee. If you assault a work mate you're gone, but then again your employer can't sell you to another company. A sensible club hushes the incident up, then flogs him ASAP
If true then surely the club have a disciplinary process to deal with it. In most industries and work places an assault on a colleague is gross misconduct and results in dismissal.
Like I said it depends on the context and the seriousness of the dust up, people squaring up and pushing each other is common enough that you wouldn’t react in the same way as if it happened in an office environment for example. If someone’s given someone else a proper right hander, that’s a bit different. I remember reading about how John Arne Riise felt when that utter bell drop Craig Bellamy hit him with a golf club and Liverpool didn’t really do anything - he was pretty gutted. Then again that wasn’t a training ground dust up.
Seems a bit like attention-seeking from the twillo lad. As Conan said, maybe elaborate a bit. If it is Cavare, no excuse for that behaviour, but some very quick to get on his back. Rumours get you nowhere...
I think it’s wrong that Cavare gets so much stick on here over what are just rumours & have never been confirmed. Many of you seem to automatically take McGehan’s side about a bust up that may or may not have happened. Maybe I’m watching a different player but I can certainly see why someone could end up having a row with McGeehan with how many times he flies into tackles & leaves me nervous he might get more than a yellow. I wouldn’t take for granted it’s Cavare’s fault if a bust up even happened.
I'm not sure how I feel about things like this leaking to fans. It probably happens regularly in teams up and down the country. I'm not sure this type of thing getting out is helpful to our club if I'm honest, especially if we ultimately try to offload him.
