    I’ll be gutted.

Every star man we sell chips away at my enthusiasm a little more. At least they’re usually in the last year of their contracts - 2 years to go on Moore!
Why sell up and risk going down? Can’t sell the best-in-league defence and the best-in-league strike force in the same window. What’s the point if we do that?

    Football is

If we sell Moore I would fully expect us to replace him with as good as or better quality purely because we don't have to sell. They should have an upgrade lined up if this is the case. I don't for a minute accept that Chaplin would be acceptable.
I like Moore a lot. He could do well in the Championship but his past record suggests he may not. It's a gamble.
As I say, if we do sell I would hope it's because we have better lined up.

If we replace him with Chaplin I'll be a tad disappointed.

Whilst I like Moore, if he goes then we should not be slitting our wrists until we are able to assess his replacement.

We need another striker as it is now. So if he goes we'll need two.

We still need back up in the strikers area, is Chaplin one for the bench and victor and miller out on loan?

He’s a decent forward to have, bit of a nightmare for defenders due to his size, but he wasn’t great last time out in the Championship. It wouldn’t surprise me to see us change shape next season into more of a 4-3-3, especially given the links to Wilks and Chaplin, players that are more ‘forwards’ than they are natural strikers.

I think Chaplin is Moore’s replacement.

I think the first 3 options will be Woodrow, Koné & Chaplin with 1 of Miller or Victor as 4th choice and the other out on loan.

I was at stalybridge the other night
. Kiefer walked past us and my mate shouted "are you going or staying Kiefer". He walked past us didn't think he was going to respond, but then turned round and said "staying". Read into it what you will.

I really, really would rather we didn't sell Moore, especially if 5ft 6in Chaplin is his replacement. Although he didn't score many last time in the championship he was a constant nuisance for defenders with his size and aerial ability. Chaplin was mediocre for Coventry last season in league 1.

That's what i fear might happen. We don't have enough to offer for Kone and it ends up Chaplin being the direct replacement for Moore.

Which would be massively underwhelming considering we already have quite the transfer budget available to us (allegedly) and would grow even more with the sale of Kieffer.

Agree with this from the players linked and what kind of player we’re trying to sign. Lots of pace, plenty out wide or who can play number 10. Give Woodrow plenty to feed off in the box. Not sure Moore would fancy being shunted wide or on the bench. It would be good to sign a ‘big un’ even if it’s to bring on for the last 15 mins and fire balls at him and work off the flick ons but it wouldn’t shock me at all if we didn’t.

I saw Kieffer in the toilets in Chennels and said to him "Kieffer, do you reckon we'll be leaving the EU or staying in?" He finished p**sing, zipped back up and walked past me and i thought he wasn't going to respond, but as he got to the door he turned around and said "Thatchers dead **** the Tories up the reds"

Didn’t somebody mention that we were linked with Tom Eaves? Available on a free, I believe, and would be a different option upfront.

Would be the like for like replacement but I’d imagine he would have been snapped up by now if he was capable of the step up ?

I've read numerous threads about player departures and wotnot. Nobody has raised the issue is Stendel happy to replace some of these players because he thinks he can use the transfer market to mould a better squad?

Moussa Kone and Connor Chaplin in and Moore out?

£3.5m up front for Kone, £750k up front for Chaplin and Moore sold for around £4m would be my guess. We aren't going to buy those two and also keep Moore and Woodrow. Someone would have to go to fund the new arrivals.

I'd be okay with that as long as we sold Moore after we got the other two confirmed otherwise we are leaving ourselves potentially up **** creek
