Not many have gone in the old wooden stand. Loads and loads of blue dots.
Has that old girl now gone past its time and due for renewal? It's not a very appealing place to sit any more.

It’s appealing. Easy access straight from the pub and no wind or rain in winter.

    Wouldn’t swap for anywhere else.

Correct, uncomfortable, restricted viewing and you nearly break your legs getting out of the seat expecting it to automatically flip up!

I’ve sat there for many years than I care to remember. However I shall shed no tears when it replaced.

Sat there for years as a kid (still am tbh), when i do manage to catch a game, i always sit in there. It is dated granted but still quirky.

Been in once. Boxing Day we beat Port Vale 6-2. Sniffer hat-trick.

Think more people would sit in it for these reasons if it was modern, but that would probably just be people moving from the east to save a walk.

Have you been earwigging when I said I'd swap from the East Stand Upper if they redeveloped the West Stand? I wouldn't have as far to walk back in to town from there! :):)

I think the West wouldnt then become the most populated stand.

Select buying a new season ticket on the online box office and it will come up.

Went in it for the Southampton league cup tie when Le Tissier scored one of the best opposition goals Oakwell has seen. It was needing demolishing all them years back.

Me and my dad sit in there have an aisle in front which means the leg room is great - just get people walking past but no many during the game also I have a great view apart from one pillar which blocks a bit of the field in the north half of the pitch but doesnt impede the view in the area

If I was getting a new ST though I would pefer the East - but of course all the decent seats are already taken - unless you just want a single. Same for the Ponty so if I was getting a couple of new ones now it would need to be West upper really but need to check the pillars before buying

My memory of that game, very dim that it is, seems to be viewed from the West Stand. Other than the Santos friendly i don't think I've been in before or since. Can't remember why we would have gone in though.
