One or two putting Daniel on there wish list to replace Bruce.I thought we were a club who they didn't give a second thought to.
Bruce must be the favourite now. They apparently wanted Sam Allardyce, but he's quoted on the BBC Sports website as saying that he's declined their approach.
He said it live on talksport this morning, said he'd turned down an approach to his agent from Newcastle.
Yeah, I would be worried that they would instantly come in for Stendel. Then it comes down pretty much to either go to a team with obviously a larger fanbase but with financial implications reigning in the ability to change things. Or stick with the team he is building with the players who have gone on record saying that they were swayed by the manager to sign for us. I do think Barnsley is actually a better proposition than Wednesday at present time based on finances and the way the club is being operated. Likewise I think Bruce would be better staying at Wednesday than jumping ship to Newcastle. Just where clubs stand at present imo..
Bruce would be better at Newcastle, right chance for him, Wednesday are the next basket case club. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...day-released-their-accounts-for-201718-471311
Who the hell in their right mind would go to that backward, old fashioned, stuffy, flask and blanket supporters football club !?!?! It’s a horrible dark decrepit stadium full of fossils. Have you ever seen a vibrant Sheffield Wednesday supporter ??? No - you haven’t. Sadly wearing their horrendous looking football shirts to announce they are not part of Barnsley (even though vast majority walking about in the Barnsley District were born and bred here) - just look at the state of the fookers !?!?! Fooking gummy munters the lot of them.
Tbf it would be a gamble for them as well.as him. Think they ll stick with an English manager personally.
Absolutely certain he will go if they come knocking and best of luck to him. Can’t do anything in the championship with your best assets flogged for profit and replaced with youngsters with no experience. He’s destined for big things and that ain’t gonna happen at Investment FC.
Pinnock offered the best BFC contract ever,Lyndsey wouldn't sign a contract.I wouldn't call that flogging assets for a profit. It's called player power. When Stendel got the job he was made aware of how the club wanted to operate and that's what he signed up for. It's a special coach who can create a young team full of talent and ambition.I'm sure he's relishing doing the same next season with players who want to be here.
Paying up the final year of his contract we'd be lucky to get 250k compo. They won't want him anyway.
Nope, your wrong, we get 3 million for everybody. Moore next, then 3 big ones for woodrow at Christmas. Count that cash!!
I’ll never forget the elation of my whole family screaming with excitement at the healthy profit margins of Q4 2019. My little brother hasn’t seen anything like it and could barely sleep with eager anticipation at the touted margins on Moore, but the older heads among us could remember the glory days of Q2 2017. This is what footballs all about!!
I read the thread on their forum about their accounts being published and the sale of the stadium bringing in 38 mill. Even though it left them with a tiny profit for the year and they're clearly up the creek the majority of them seem to be rubbing their hands that everything is hunky dory and they can carry on spending. Don't think they'd be happy with a non "name" manager while they're still in that deluded mindset.
The open top bus parades to celebrate multi multi billionaires making 500k every now and then will be fantastic. Mcgeehan, proudly holding aloft one a them massive plastic cheques at front of bus (assuming hes not be sold....... for 3 million quid) bringin a tear to my eye.
