I have a mate who is an Aberdeen fan. They payed last night in a Europa League qualifier. He says that Hedges was subbed late on to a standing ovation for a match winning performance!
Even when he was fit, he couldn't get in our starting 11, in L1, which says a lot. He was a good squad player when he wasn't injured.
Aberdeen's first game of the season and they looked very rusty where as RoPS have a few games under their belt and it showed. Hedges pulled up in the second half. Never looked any worse or better than those around him. No idea of the nature of the injury. But he did hobble off. RoPS played a decent containing game and will be over the moon having scored in the 93rd minute. Very poor defending allowing them in. Aberdeen on dodgy territory now next week.
Vesp obviously I never saw much of him playing for Barnsley. Only tried to keep up to date by reading reports here. Tbh no one in red stood out last night, much to my amusement. Aberdeen passed up so many opportunities to put the game to bed and will no doubt live to regret it. I never saw any incident for Hedges injury so possibly a muscle pull.
He was a decent, energetic option to bring off the bench that sometimes worked, but never good enough when he started.
