    For those of you with an Alexa I've created a skill that it is now live that will give you:

    - latest news
    - next fixture
    - Current score
    - League position

    It's called "Barnsley News", so feel free to add it and let me know what you think. It's a proof of concept at the moment really so any feedback is appreciated. Here are a few things you can say

    "Alexa, ask Barnsley News who we play next"
    "Alexa, ask Barnsley News what's the news"
    "Alexa, ask Barnsley News where we are in the table"
    "Alexa, ask Barnsley News what is the score" - obviously there needs to be a game in progress

    Just Alexa for now, however if people like the idea I'll look at a google version - any excuse to buy another gadget :)

    Excellent! Our Alexa 'Show' and the various 'dots' around the house run the whole place. Heating, lighting, irrigation, CCTV etc. Just would not be without it.

    "I'm sorry I do not understand Binsley Noose"

    Cue ridiculous conversation with a gadget for 2 hours.

    My mate has his house hooked up to it, spends 2 minutes talking to it to get it to turn the hallway lights on when he gets home. The light switch would take him 2 seconds max.

    Ok yes I made it UK only. I'll see if in can open it up.

    EDIT

    Actually it is set for all areas, so in should be in the US too. In your Alexa app, you should be able to go to "skills & games", then press search and search for Barnsley. They only published it this morning, maybe there is a lag.
