    ....... that striker being Woodrow.
To cover suspensions and injuries we need to hit the ground running with FOUR recognised strikers.
The pen needs to be out soon.

Not quite. Wilks is a natural lone striker. Agree we need more firepower though.

I’d start a new thread if I were you nudge, maybe state the same as last time which is the bleeding obvious.

Woodrow, Brown, Thiam, Wilkes, Adeboyajo... I make that 5. But if, that's if he goes we will invest and replace him. Even if he stays I am confident we will still see another couple through the door before the season gets going.

Miller too. although I wouldn’t put Thiam or Brown in the list. Still 4 though.

It’s unrealistic to expect 4 strikers of the same quality.

Brown played as a sole striker several times last season and was very effective. I'm fairly certain he played most of his youth career as a striker too.

Still, I agree we need more options, with or without Moore. Not sure anyone is suggesting the club isn't working on it though.

I've still not figured out why use capitals in the way you do.

Im going to TRY it though.

I must admit im starting to get twitchy about signing a new striker even if Moore stays we need one more minimum. I would be happy to start the season with Moore, Woodrow, Wilkes, Brown and a new striker. Bahre will play a lot of games this season as the second striker aswell, Adebejeyo and Miller may step up quickly like Brown did.

Any new players need time in pre season so we need a new signing or two soon.

I'd agree with the key point. Even if Moore stays we still need one more striker in.

I'd be OK going with what we've got if Moore stays. That's not to say I wouldn't like another striker but I don't think it's vital.

We won't necessarily play 4-4-2, but even if we do Moore and Woodrow are out and out strikers. As are Miller and Victor, although there's a distinct drop off in quality/experience. However, Brown, Wilks and Thiam are all more than capable of playing up front, particularly at the side of someone of the stature of Moore.

If we're playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 then we'll only be playing one central striker and we have a wealth of options in the wide forward positions. I do think we need competition for Bahre in the number 10 roll if that's the plan. Although we might not utilise such a position and pick 3 from McGeehan, Scowen, Styles and Dougal.

I actually think a left back is vital. Ben Williams doesn't look ready to me. Pinnillos is a class player, but he's just not fast enough for the Championship. He could get away with that at centre half but not at full back. All the good will in the world isn't going to make him run faster.

We were short on options last season when Moore was injured. Would really like to see a proven striker arrive.

This striker proving to be hardest of the lot to bring in.

I know you meant Mowatt rather than Scowen, but I’d love to have Scowen in this squad for versatility and experience if we were to go with the midfield three option. Don’t think we’ll get away with playing Mowatt every single game like last season

I think it's obvious that we're trying to sign a striker. I suspect that if Moore goes we'll try to sign another.

    You have listed 5.
    That’s one RECOGNISED striker.
Three wingers - or players usually played there.
And one developing striker that on evidence of last season I would send out on loan.

I think and hope we learned from last season .....we need more options up front.

Why was recognised in capitals this time and the number one wasn’t?

In your opening post it was the other way round.

I like how the OP provided clarification of who the supposed remaining striker would be. I guess you didn’t want us to think it was one of the several other strikers on our books. Oh wait...
