Good game to watch and thank you to vfl bochum for the YouTube stream. We look to have lots of pace in the team this coming season especially in attacking areas.
Defensively we need work and a few games to gel but overall very impressed. The high press seems to work well too very impressed we kept it up for the full 90 minutes.

Agree mate it was a good workout my main slight disappointment was that we need to look after the ball much better when were attacking although that pitch wasn’t the best.

Won all 3 friendlies against 3 different nationalities. Regardless of how meaningless some see the games, it's still better than losing them.

We’ve not got long to get defensively up to the Championship level in Stendel we trust ...............

Going on what I've seen so far this pre season, i can't see us getting out of the bottom 3. We look all over the place at the back, with only 3 weeks to go, the squad depth is non existent and we look miles weaker than last season going into a vastly higher standard league. Feel free to bump this later on but i just can't see this squad being competitive. We've done ourselves again.
There's a photo of mama tonight, where he looks overweight, which is appalling for a pro footballer, then there is Diaby who appears to be an accident waiting to happen. Worried would be an understatement.

Surely Daniel knows our weakness hope He knows that our high pressing will not work as it did last season surely.......

Someone posted a photo on him last week where he looked all muscle to me so he must have got on the pies since then.
As for diaby I have a feeling halme and Anderson will be the center backs.

It’s just his build. If he’s fat, I’m fooked.

Play like that at the back in the championship and Fulham will declare at half time... Sorry to say... But at times it was schoolboy defending.. Its a good job their strikers didn't have their shooting boots on... Maybe its me who's the hard task master.. but I thought we were slow and at times we're wide open... Yes it got fiesty at times and it shows that we are prepared to get stuck in and mix it ..... There was also some good glimpses of open fast attacking play ... However defence shows its lacking experience and on many occasions we were cut open far too often for my liking... So easy that on some occasions that I felt it was like a knife to butter... The board in my opinion should get DS that experience he's already drawn reference to in previous weeks..
Still time to be up beat its early days yet

Daniel seems the most positive hes been so far which suggests we are on the right track. As I've said before, the sheff utd match will be the best indicator of how we ll fare.

Another good result in the count down to the new season. Good to see Kieffer coming on despite rumours about him leaving. Anybody else concerned about the comments about lack of understanding in defence?

I am but they haven't had long to gel . Midfield will have to step up to help out defensively surely?

Must agree. As an ITK poster is there anything in the pipeline to sure up the defence? It is nothing personal against the players we have brought in, they simply do not have the experience and on the viewings so far won’t in time for the season’s beginning to compete in the championship. I am sure they will eventually but that doesn’t help us this year. After the quality we had in defence we had last year it is very depressing being promoted and ending up with less quality! How many teams other than us manage that?

I don't know about being in the know.. Last 2, I said were to happen haven't materialised.. So at the moment I'm at a loss... I do feel though that we need a Championship experienced defender in that back line.... As daft as it may seem I'd take Mark Roberts back or some one of that stature failing that some old pro willing to combine playing with a coaching role... 1 selected away from the spread sheet isn't going to break the bank and might just be the answer to what I see as a problem and what DS sees that we need if previous comments are to go by... Bye the way I don't know what he's said about tonights result

I think we miss a Scowen type midfielder in there, we wont be good enough to keep hold of the ball for long periods therefore a player of that ilk would suit our high pressing, win the ball back quickly philosophy. I just cant see the Mowatt and McGeehan partnership been the championship standard required unfortunately.
