There will be five. I saw it in a dream. Try as I did, I just could not see who made up the top five places....

Maybe it was Leeds and Fulham. Derby maybe. Stoke? West Brom mebby..

    Who could it be, now.

Brentford's central defence looks awesome. That's painful to say.

They might be a problem for other teams but it’s looking like we have the tools to carve any defence open right now. The pace we have is awesome.

Getting in new players early and having a good pre season is going to pay dividends. Something we haven’t done previous seasons.

Like most others on here, I'm confident we'll score plenty. As for the defence, it's an unknown. I don't doubt we've signed excellent replacements for Lindsay and Pinnock. Just defences tend to take quite a while to gel. I just hope we don't take too many tonkings in the first couple of months.

Hard to pick 5 with any certainty. We might not even finish above Bolton if they are thrown out or liquidated but we need to finish above Bolton and 2 others. Hopefully the Fowls, Birmingham and Millwall are realistic and Leeds would be perfect but I can’t see the Leeds one happening

Edited to remove total rubbish I wrote before I woke up

Bolton got relegated last year, so would be something seriously wrong if we didn’t end up above them

I'd take sixth without any hesitation if offered it before the season starts.

Whilst I’m encouraged by the signings and preseason performances in general, it has also been blindingly obvious that the centre backs and keepers have only just met.

I am optimistic we can have a good season but I reckon we ought to reign in the expectation a little. We might be top half but for us to finish top six then a lot of clubs need to have poor seasons. Could happen - I can’t see it - but so long as we don’t go down and can grow again, it’ll be a good season.

If we can't finish above three of Millwall, Reading, Hull, Charlton, Birmingham then it's fair to say we won't have deserved to stay up. However, I'm confident we'll have a decent season, finishing somewhere in mid-table.

Add Blackburn and Luton to that as well.

I don't think that Luton should be underestimated. However, I think you might be right with Blackburn. Add Wigan to that. Second season syndrome.

Can't see any evidence to say Wigan or Blackburn will struggle..

For me, it's probably too early to forecast who will end up where really. Plenty of teams are
yet to finalise their squads before the window closes on the 8 th August.

Once that happens, we might have a better idea of who's got what, to allow an informed opinion
    to be made.

If we finish 6 then it's promotion for us then.
6 placed finishers usually do well in play offs.
Realistically I'll settle 20 with 4 points to spare going into the last game.
