happy clapper alert....dont read on if youre a miserable git... i'm spending the whole morning binge watching i follow with all the new players, their showcases (for the second time), interviews and the pre season highlights. yes it's only s glimpse but better than nowt. all part of the pre season build up. god I love our club....I'm 63 and getting more obsessed as I get older. its the only thing that makes me feel like a little kid again. v exciting season ahead and how good must it to be to work in that environment with that manager and his ultra positive infectious personality. he really is the biggest asset we have, and as many have said, he needs tying down with a new contract. Morais the moron was so wrong. Daniel is so right. go figure. despite them that knock it, i'm well impressed with our recruitment strategy and in particular this most recent batch. like the way we're getting lads in who will fit the group mentality also. their skills are a given. their attitude is also key. cmahhhhn!!!! ps also like our new Dane by name. good talk so far...
I’ve listened to the after match interviews with Connor and Luke this morning and I was well impressed with both. The pair of them came across as very personable who will fit in well with rest of the lads
Would do the same but i cancelled iFollow due to their poor customer service. The content of videos and interviews are great.
I am 65 in August and I agree with your sentiments. I too look foreward to the coming season. Hope we can hold our own in this division. A little concerned in defence to be honest as not much experience in there but hope springs eternal. COYREDS!
Every reason to be optimistic at the moment. That third goal yesterday was 'brand Barnsley' all the way. Effective zonal high press, intelligent, pacy, direct attacking once ball won, attacking support and in this case clinical finish. What's not to like? I reckon PC looking down is well impressed with who he passed us over to. We will face teams that will do the same to us this season and much will depend on how we cope with that. I get the sense that we will approach every game to win rather than not lose. That can only make for another season of entertaing football home and away. Win, lose, or draw I think the club has got the approach and acquisitions spot on.
I need to find some time to binge watch all those videos. Had a look a couple or days ago and realised how few of then i’d watched.
All binjed up. Seems to me that the DS brief to the recruitment team was, find me: * Big strong defenders with pace and power who can distribute the ball effectively. Ball playing Beckenbauers with a strong touch of Mick McCarthy in there also. Also guys who are built like brick shithouses but are athletic also. Hard as nails. * Attackers - first and foremost....a great work ethic with a team mentality. Prepared to tackle back and not greedy. Again, pace compulsory but also trickery. Comfortable on the ball with the ability to "give and go". * Personalities - positive, committed team players, with no Billy Big ****** attitudinal issues. Listening to them all they sound like they've got their heads screwed on. The fact they're young and some of them know each other helps. Very encouraging. Listen to Mads.......his excitement will be infectious in that group.......game on!!!!!! UTR!!
