It seems that people have gone from it being a travesty if he’s sold to not even wanting him starting the first game. Don’t get it.

We need the ability that Moore brings to the table. If Moore goes we need to bring in at least one other player with that ability. That would be hard to find.
Think most fans want Moore to stay but I suppose the pre season performances without Moore and Chaplin's debut may have made some believe we can cope without. Also, you can want a player to stay but not necessarily want him to start. We need plenty of options this season and having a 6 ft odd striker with pace to bring off the bench may be a more effective strategy in some games.
Like all big strikers their efficacy depends on the service into them and the system/formation and players who provide the service. Barcelona revolutionised the modern game with 'ticker tacker' football, no big striker, a back four and six others in front.
I think Moore will have a big part to play. If plan A doesn't work then change to plan B. That will happen in some games in the championship and that's why most teams have a big squad to rotate their players. To me the left back situation is one that needs addressing sooner rather than later.
Part of me would love it if Moore wasnt first choice as it would surely mean we were doing brilliantly.
We have a squad. I'd expect Moore to play every week, but sometimes not to start every game. He may win games off the bench at times. Who knows, we are only speculating what will happen. He is a key player & if we keep him, that will be brilliant, as he is not your standard target man, his movement is key & his work rate.
We need Moore to play the battering ram like paul wilkinson did which will free up woodrow just like it didfor hendrie. If woodrow is upfront on his own those big championship defenders will just kick him out of the game. It will be tougher to play 442 instead of the 433 and have the extra central midfielder but we will be better with 2 upfront.
