No idea why I didn’t select to pay the postage. Dropped a b*llock here, it seems.

I read a status update on facebook where someone had queued and I wondered the same.

I am thinking the same thing. Testicle thoroughly dropped.

I wasn't going to go to the Chedfield United game, because I hate them, but if I can grab my season ticket it might be worth making the trip.

It feels a bit daft to be blaming the club that there are no refreshments considering you can get it at any point in the coming days. Maybe I often leave things till the last minute but I'm buggered if I can understand going and queuing for an hour for a season ticket I can probably just walk straight in and get later in the week or which I could have paid a fiver to have delivered. Have they stopped selling drinks in the club shop by the way?

I couldn't wait. Not so big a queue now. I reckon about half an hour max.

I considered the same but can only imagine queues will be similar then.

I don't even remember the option - and it certainly wasn't clear to me that I wasn't just using my same card next year - so probably ignored the postage option because in my mind I had my ticket already. So I'm really p****d off.

Thing is though, they are only allowing collection during 8-4, traditional working hours. People who work in town may be able to nip up during their lunch break but they're not going to get served during that time if the queue is long. Not having a couple of evenings available for collection and making the Saturday collection 'weather dependent' seems downright disrespectful to me. I'm seeing loads of people saying they are getting various family members or friends to collect on their behalf. What if they weren't able to do that? People can't be expected to take a day/half day off work to collect. Yes, postage was an option but only before we knew the stupidly small hours that collection would be available. If they at least announced the Saturday collection times now, people could know that they could wait for then. Making it 'weather dependent' means that you could wait all week and then it be called off for a bit of rain. It's picking up a card from a building, not hosting a funfair that could get rained off. The Sunday collection is fair enough but it limits people to 3 hours on one specific morning (a morning I annoyingly can't make) and will have huge queues as it is potentially the only weekend pickup date and coincides when everyone will be there for the Open Day.

For those who work, have holidays booked around the time tickets usually come out, have upgraded to the + scheme, and more than one member.

Basically a lot of us don’t want a box being left in the brown bin or on the doorstep for 2 weeks if away or at work.

Or even worse having to go to Pitt Street sorting office to pick them up!

Everything just seems a little last-minute this year. New shirts, open day, pre-season games confirmation and season ticket announcement. Maybe they’re under-staffed and struggle at this time of the year.

1hour 20 mins from start to finish you need only your name address and where you are sitting to collect i also took id driving licence pin badge and key ring in pack if you have + you also get a scarf. no refreshments or toilets available I would have thought that they could have opened on of the toilets and come round with bottle water only two people serving

I read the ‘weather dependant’ line for Saturday as the location of the collections is weather dependant, so will be confirmed nearer the time, not that there won’t be any collections if the weather is adverse.

Hopefully I misread it then. Will go back and reread, thanks for that!

You got a link to where the club said you'd have to wait over an hour to pick ticket up. Because in previous seasons ive pickedvmine up from box office 5 minutes tops

You could have been down, queued and picked it up by the time you typed all that... Only joking. You have a point and it seems that the £5 postage and unavailability to collect was an issue for some and manual collection an issue for others.

Here are some ideas and options for next year.

    1. Post all ST out and then collect the 'pack' match days in the first 3 home games of the season, club shop or home friendly, Open day by showing the ST.

    2. Charge everyone and extra £2 per box. with 10K ST holders that would bring £20K. Pay a local courier to deliver all 'local' packs and ST's. Use rest of cash to post out people not local.

    3. Reduce size of packaging to large envelope and post out by mail to all at a cheaper £3. The Plus pack may need a higher postage charge

    4. Have manual collection arranged for Ponty in Ponty end, for East Stand in East Stand. Would need more staff, but less queue and

    5. Have things in attendance to ease the wait, coffee stall, drinks, food, players signings, screen showing footy etc.

You've misunderstood. If it's raining it will be inside, if not it will be outside. Don't you live in Leeds? Why on earth didn't you opt for postage? Why don't you ask them to mail it and pay the postage? It's open an entire working day from early morning, its open on a weekend and they can send it you and if you go in a few days there will be bugger all queue. Moaning for the sake of it here.

Its because its now a pack not just a ST. I used stopwatch to time from starting to queue to getting to front. 1H and 15min as people were saying it takes 2hrs. However like I said earlier I found it ok chatting to others and the time was less than estimated !!!

Someone said the queues were due to people having no ID.Take a passport or driving licence and it'll not take as long to get served.Or last seasons card.

I'm not going to lie, I didn't opt for postage as I am full blown skint and thought I'd just pick it up at the Open Day and save the fiver after just paying the price of the season ticket (and what I misremembered as plus membership but apparently not). I then found out later that my husband's friend's wedding clashed with Open Day so that's a non starter. Being open on a working day is less than useless for me though, I need to work on a working day - in Bradford. It's a bit more casual this week as no kids in but I still need to be here. Hopefully, I misunderstood about Saturday in my annoyance at the situation. They still haven't listed the times though so I'm not entirely convinced that it is definitely going ahead.

I’m not blaming the club. It didn’t bother me. Just answering a question.
