https://www.newport-county.co.uk/news/2019/july/headline-sponsor-announcement-1920/ https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2019/07/22/sponsorless-shirts-as-paddy-power-become-main-sponsor/ Two more clubs have joined Huddersfield Town as part of the Paddy Power campaign. Not sure yet if I like the idea with them looking more crisp and clean or got so used to seeing sponsors on shirts that without them they now look too bland.
Whilst it's just Paddy Power doing it, it's brilliant marketing but who else is going to.pay NOT to have their names on a shirt? Any team that decided off their own bat not to have a shirt sponsor would be cutting off a source of income that those in the lower leagues particularly can ill-afford to lose so like it or not logos on shirts are not going away!
Surely makes it cheaper without having to have all that printing done as well? Would be good if the savings are realised at POS, doubt it though.
