Questions don't answer questions, even with high levels of insinuation.

We have controls to stop criminals, we have controls to stop illegal entry. Most other EU countries use them and have more rigorous checks. We're not in Schengen. There is no reason not to use them.

But this goes further. There has been an anti foreigner sentiment in this country, probably forever. And there are many publications and media organisations that like to stoke it.

Interestingly, we have one of the lowest migration unemployment rates in the world (based on 2017 data). I'm certainly not going to decry hard working people willing to upsticks, learn a new language and try and better themselves. Thankfully, I'm proud our current manager just so happens to be one of those very people.

Is that any different to someone living in Wales or Scotland and coming to England.
Nobody wants a murderer in their street I agree but we can’t pick and choose or we also become elitists ourselves.

We had the vote because Tory arses needed saving. The result is another whole debate. The whole thing has been about self- preservation of Tory politicians and their personal ambitions, and wealth of course

Don’t dispute any of that just saying the ‘propaganda’ was done before the vote and was only heightened during the campaign.

It was done on a steady drip over the last 30 years. Many of the bigger lies coming from a former journalist that now occupies Number 10.

According to every study I’ve read (several); EU immigrants are nett contributors to the economy.

But that won’t alter the opinions of those who are brainwashed into believing the opposite.

Then under EU law we could stop them coming. Like the Belgians do; however we choose not to do that.

The study compiled by UCL showed that EU migrants to UK had made a net contribution of £20 billion over the study period. Their net contribution per capita was far more than that of non EU migrants and vastly more than the indigenous Brit.

Here's your consequences of unchecked freedom of movement . I'm sure the UK has profiteered from said migrants but it hasn't been without cost to other EU members . By the way I do wonder if this tax break will be open to Brits wanting to move to Poland or is it polish only ?

The UK can offer whatever incentives it wishes... being a sovereign nation in charge of its own taxation system. The outflux of Poles in particular will be a big loss to this nation. Absolute grafters that put so many brits to shame. But then they aren't in isolation.

I really truly don't understand why so many in this country get their knickers in a complete twist about other nationalities and their movement, to or from a lump of rock in the middle of the sea. Most of us just happened to be popped out on this lump of rock, most in and around Barnsley. So what? Whoever comes here, just as for any other nationals going elsewhere... what does it matter?

    We're all human.

There's many EU countries and areas within countries that have seen a rather large chunk of their youth disappear to pastures new . From an economic and demographic point of view it's a disaster waiting to happen . Sure you can take the " I'm alright jack , why should I care " point of view but overall should things carry on as they all you will see is a further rise of more nationalistic right wing politics across Europe .

Large proportion of Poles have already gone back to Poland as their economy continues to boom. With over £100billion pumped into their infrastructure by the EU a lot of tradesmen can now earn more back ‘home’.

Some of my largest customers are Latvian, Romanian and Bulgarian and they too are starting to go back too.

I voted brexit would do so again, many eastern Europeans have a much much better work ethic than the Brits, I've heard many saying the British ( not all) are a very lazy breed and would rather claim benefits than work hard, I did find myself agreeing. Many people have this mindset that people who voted out want our Nation to be a blonde haired blue eyed race, pathetic. My view on immigration is if there is a skills shortage then we recruit from overseas, we have unemployment at just over a million atm, let's train these people up and help find employment before we allowing others to come in and join the queue. I've heard many on here saying people who voted Brexit are far right ( 16 million racists, wow) so by definition if you voted remain are you far left ??

Why is it a disaster waiting to happen? Why can't people reside where there is work? I moved from Barnsley to London as my natural client base didn't exist in South Yorkshire. So should I be forced to have to live in Barnsley? just because chance had me birthed in this region? Because that's the alternative to movement isn't it?

Why should a person, say a Pole, from your original example, move somewhere, try hard, strive, be fair, pay taxes, contribute to communities, and be allowed to considered to be the cause of a rise in racism, nationalism, fascism and right wing extremists? Would those fanatics be any lesser if that individual Pole decided to stay in his homeland?

By the way, Poland is doing pretty well judging by the vast amounts of investment and preservation of its multi faceted heritage. I'd strongly recommend anyone to visit Wroclaw or in particular Gdansk.

You've also misjudged my comment as not caring, or why should I care. I care very much. That people should be able to do what is in their legal interests of fairness and prosperity, irrespective of nationality and chance from where someone just happened to be born.

I've said for years, there is so much infrastructure improvement going on in Europe, its incredible. Obviously there will be exceptions, but I can't think of a European city i've visited in the last 3 or 4 years that wasn't benefitting from significant regeneration.

Great words. There are 195 countries in the world. I'm a foreigner in 194 of them. So are just about all of you on here. What on earth is wrong with being a foreigner?

A tradesmen I know who has done a fair few things for us is Czech. Great guy, been here for 13 years and has a young son with his wife, who is also Czech, but moved here separately and they met here. Sadly, he is moving back "home" as his son is constantly being targeted as a foreigner by not only other kids, but by adults too. Both he and his wife have received comments and he said they just don't feel safe anymore. This is in a pretty gentrified multi cultural part of London, yet they still don't feel safe. Two Italian café owners closed their shutters for the last time on Tuesday last. Wonderful people, a real part of the community, but they also said they felt victimised and unwelcome.

If these instances are any way common in London, I can't possibly imagine what sentiment is like in the regions and where nationalism has risen in larger quantities. Very very sad, and I must admit to feeling very ashamed that such things are happening.
