Politicians aren’t bound though, they just don’t have the balls to front up through fear of self harm etc, far easier to blame the public
It’s not uncommon to set a level where change is enacted. 55/45 seems sufficient to have a suitable level of assurance, but like so much of Cameron’s approach, detail and rigour weren’t that common
Irrelevant of which side you sit, I place blame purely on his shoulders. Firstly offering it as a referendum, going through with it and then spitting his dummy out when he didn’t get result he wanted
Agree. Such a pity we couldn’t just have people say right... this is the eu... this is what it does, this is the good, this is the bad, we’d gave if we did this, the damage would be this if we did this. Now weigh it up and decide
Arguing against Brexit before its even happened is like me posting a thread on here today bemoaning Stendel's substitutions and tactics against Fulham.
Read back what you wrote initially. Read what I put. Do a moderate amount of thinking. If you still can't fathom the point, not to worry.
Self governance for a set of posh bar stewards who will do everything they can to completing shaft the common working man in this country. People do not realise exactly what they voted for, to make the top 10%in this country richer whilst the working population get smashed with their rights being withdrawn soon after we leave...
Think I'll pass on your request thanks, I'm already bored shitle55, I'm sure you got the point of my post but chose to be pedantic, nice one, take a bow
Taking back control, they bloody are, I blame the selectors picking Anderson without a proper fitness test....oh err hang on a minute...wrong thread
And your point is ? Germany and France didn't suffer the same levels of austerity in terms of local authority funding, swingeing cuts to public services like the police, fire service, libraries.
I blame the foriners, coming over ere, making us think were winning, then blasting the ball all over the place. We shud of picked Archer, he would bowl really fast and fryten them.
You know that you have a vote in the European Parliament too, right? How is this lie that the EU is full of unelected bureaucrats still accepted?
Just as well, with a 20% increase in users of food banks in Germany, just goes to show it’s not just a UK phenomenon
No one has tried to answer that question so can I give it a go? And this only relates to your question not the plethora of other points on this thread. 2 points: 1. The minor one. We’ll no longer be part of the CAP. A dreadful waste of money and probably the most anti -environmental policy i’ve seen. Paying farmers and land managers for delivering ‘public goods ‘ or taking their chance in ‘the market’ makes a lot more sense. 2. The bigger positive. Brexit must surely speed up the end of the UK as a political entity mustn’t it? And that would be a tremendously good thing for everyone. Something that was essentially a good 20 century idea is not fit for purpose in the 21 century. There’s two positives.
