could not give a rats a,, if players dont want to stay then SITHI barnsley are building and we going to be well up there in a couple of years ,if he has not got the heart and fight to stay then again SITHI,, no player is bigger than our club
Not to my knowledge. His original tweet just mentioned that they wanted him. I think the ‘completed over the weekend’ comment came from somebody on here.
It isn’t necessarily the case though, is it, that he has said he wants to leave? Could be Wigan made an offer that Barnsley thought was acceptable and told him, he speaks to Wigan who offer more money and perhaps more playing time, he sees that he will be behind Woodrow and Behre for a start and decides he might as well go?
Failed his medical according to Torquay fans ...... not sure where their knowledge comes from or if they are just ITK. https://torquayfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=4545&p=241517&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#p241517
Wish we could get away from this 'hero to zero' mentality on here. KM was a significant part of our success last year and as far as I know has not been pushing for a move away. If he goes then it ought to be with our thanks and best wishes. He's an employee of the club who has given his all any time that he was called upon to do so. Players come and players go, can't see that he's done anything to warrant the negativity shown towards him since other clubs started showing an interest in him.
I have heard from reliable sources that Brad Potts absolutely loved the Barnsley set-up and honestly did not want to leave but he was called in by the board and advised that an offer had been made to the club by Preston that was too good an opportunity for both him and the club to turn down! Could be the same situation with Keiffer. The big business that football has become can feel soul-destroying for supporters of teams like us - but on we go! COYR!
I meant one of us posting he'd failed the medical, not the Torquay connection. Sorry if you're confused. Anyway it show's they're taking interest I a decent club!
The way people are talking about a fantastically skilled set of footballers that played some of the best football I’ve seen at Oakwell last season is disgusting. One win and suddenly Moore pinnock davies are awful and we’re well shut apparently. Aye alright.
Kieffer will be welcomed back for me should he go. Can’t help but think that this deal is a good deal for both player and club. Don’t think he’s forced a move away at all and honestly believe that he’s not seen to be a starter in this team as regular as ppl may think. He’s been fantastic for us in the short time he’s been here and ppl are quick to forget that. Nowhere near as bad as Winnall not by a country mile. Good luck to him in his time wherever he may go and the only time I don’t wish him well is when he steps foot on any pitch against Barnsley.
Dream on Barnsley are building, when they’re having to “rebuild” every couple of years they must be cowboy builders.
That is a serious lack of ambition from Kieffer if true - if it was Bristol City as was reported a few weeks back I could understand as it's much closer to where he's from, can presumably pay more than us and Wigan and (until yesterday) I assumed they'd be fighting for top 6 again. But Wigan?? Absolutely baffling.
I'd rather Moore be in our setup than anyone elses, but if for whatever reason he does leave then it's just another player in a long list of players that have done the same thing. I support Barnsley Football Club, not a specific player. If he does leave I'll treat him the same as I have with every player that's gone, with complete and utter indifference.
Do you not have a rather heartless attitude to apply to a player who suffered a quite serious injury whilst committing himself fully for our cause? You seem to wish to treat players like cattle.
I wouldnt blame him for going. The amount of ill feeling hes recieved from fans is truly unbelievable. I could understand it if hes been stealing a wage but hes been fantastic for us. All i heard setdy was, if he wants to leave then f**k him. Im not sure hes breaking his neck to play for Wigan, probably thinks why not, if thats what you get for your trouble id sooner be off. I personally feel the club made it clear he wasnt in Stendal plans too with the amount of game time hes got pre season, thats not a criticism of the club but an additional reason for Kiefer to go elsewhere. Ill miss him, good laiker.
I wish Kieffer all the best regardless of what happens. I don't think Kieffer should stay here to sit on the bench though.
