Also 1 in 4 in the Europa League qualifiers this season (Although that was against teams from Gibraltar and Finland).

If people on here can find me a 19 year old with a better strike rate in all competitions with experience playing for his national side’s youth teams, playing in Europe and having been part of the Juventus academy that’s in our price range I’d be amazed, one source has said we’ve bid and we’ve already got people whinging that he’s crap

I think the recruitment team have earned the benefit of the doubt over the past few seasons

    This.
Also I had no idea the transfer window closes in 2 days, obviously it's changed since it used to be the end of August.
Man, seems like we need to do business ASAP.

Absolutely ridiculous sentiment,. We don't need any of those things, we need a striker that can keep us in this division. We have bags of potential in the squad already.

We could do with a 26 year old that scored 17 league goals last season I think.

Folk aren't half getting carried away after 1 win, to say they were mocking Leeds for winning the league already.

I bought him on Fifa 18, good player, had him 1 season then flogged him for a very tidy profit. Sound familiar:)

If you look at Alan Shearer's early stats they were 10 in 77 games up to the age of 21, and he didn't turn out to have too shabby a career
It's not stats sometimes it's more about the potential

I was happy for the club to cash in on Kieffer Moore. However, I thought his replacement would more like for like. Maybe Ivan Toney or John Marquis or Matt Gooden or Matty Taylor.

I can't see the logic in breaking the club transfer record on an untried 19 year old from abroad that's going to need even more time to adjust. If the club were about to spend the money on someone from Kiddermister Harriers people would be up in arms.

Why's this lad any different? Like I say if he signs good luck to him and I wish him well and I'll cheer him on. However, I do have reservations when spending high amounts of money on untried players.

Anyone on here heard of Radlinger or Diaby or Pedersen prior to June this year?

Or Mike Steven Bahre just over 12 months ago?

I would have liked to have seen more of Stevie Mallan instead of George Moncur.

According to you we should just sign everyone on 1 year deals because it’s what we need right now not building a squad that will last, heaven above the recruitment team spot somebody that they think could contribute to the first team now and also have the potential to develop into a top striker that at the very least we can make profit off after a couple of good seasons with us. There’s no guarantee that this lad is any good, we might not even sign him, but there’s no guarantee that Kieffer would make the step up either, he hasn’t before and he’s 8 years older and probably on a lot more money. Get over it the club have sold him for whatever reason, he isn’t coming back and you comparing every other striker we’re linked with isn’t going to bring him back, so why don’t you trust the recruitment team that brought Kieffer in and a number of other players that have done well for us instead of just moaning for the sake of it.
