Just been on to club still waiting to see if we can have more tickets apparently it's up to police top tier holds over 3thousand so can't see what problem is
I frequently can't see what problem is but police can even it comes to South Yorkshire football stadia
Lets be fair. Judging by our fans disgust in ticket prices and rightly so. South Yorkshire police probably only expected the first allocation being sold and prepared for only this. I doubt SYP will allow another thousand to be added. My opinion only ofcourse.
Ticket price aside, if we can't have more tickets would be really poor considering the size of the ground. Sure Wednesday wouldn't be happy if SYP stop them from selling more tickets.
Thats Bizarre even by SYP standards - the upper tier holds 3700. Its a 40000 seater stadium but the police are telling Wednesday they can only sell about half the availlable stand - its even worse than us only being allowed to sell 3/4 of our away stand. Did they limit the blunts to 2K last year?
Why are SYP so inept at controlling football matches. If that's the case every team that comes to oakwell will have a 2000 cap .useless *****
Heard Wednesday not releasing any more tickets for us from there ticket office. Hope we restrict them to 2 thousand at oakwell
Apparently having meeting today n tomorrow with advisory safety committee so think we know what answer be to that
Maybe if one set of Pigs gets to sell more tickets, they'll have to pay the other set of Pigs more dosh to Police the game?
Any possibility of pay on gate..? Not sure I'm arsed taking 4 busses to Oakwell there & back for a ticket. Especially when there's the chance of finding Nudger in Oakwell box office meltdown..
It would be bizarre if we only got the original 2000 tickets as anyone who wants them usually gets 4500. Even that number is a restricted total as the Leppings Lane End holds more than that but SAG and SYP have heavily reduced the proportion of the stand that can be sold (up to the late 2000's teams could get nearly 7000 tickets for that end of the ground if you include the corner stand). Even Leeds got 4500 across two tiers for a Friday night game last season. SYP have amazingly not moved the kick off so surely the perceived threat must be lower than usual and so it follows that a normal allocation should be available. My only thinking is would they allow POTD as they don't want to print another huge batch of tickets off so close to the game? Who knows?
I managed to buy a ticket on the box office website this morning. Tried last night and they were sold out. Paid for postage as print at home wasn’t an option. Hoping it will turn up in time for Saturday...
Don’t hold your breath in getting it mate. Nipped in today just to collect mine which I ordered online when they went on sale, bloke behind desk said they sold out yesterday and was no more available until further notice. Just heard too that someone has rang box office at sheff Wednesday asking about more away tickets and they have said no more will be available due to SYP instructions
