So do we reckon this guy in number 3 on the list? Kone - offer turned down or he turned us down / the dutch guy, done his knee
Agree we shouldn't panic. But we all recall the impact of cutting it too fine and missing our on McBurnies goals for half a season that may well have kept us in a higher league.
Get the feeling that Kone was first on the list and Chaplin was second. This is a whole different list in regards to replacing Kieffer Moore. (I know they’re both strikers but Kone seems more like Chaplin and Kulenovic seems more like Moore.)
They’re not that complex to be fair...... In any event the complexity is irrelevant - it is prudent not to allow a player go unless the replacement is agreed. It happens all the time. We’ve been stung before on this.
If everybody was as prudent as you suggest no transfers would ever happen without a free agent in the chain. The fact is we have no idea how advanced this or any other deals are. Think we should save moaning( not aimed at you specifically) or praise until the window is shut and we know what cards we’re holding.
This lad has a good pedigree, in the clubs he's been at. Croatia brings through some great footballers & time in the development team at Juventus. He's also been at one of the top Polish clubs. It is a gamble but might adapt well. He won't walk into the first team here I don't think, but could give us alternatives.
Totally agree, when I started to read up about him after the news leaked this morning my initial thoughts were, we've no chance he's out of our range so to here we are close is very exciting, good times are ahead I feel
It wasnt just the win though it was the whole performance our two 21 year old centre halfs made me forget that fulham had a striker they paid 22.5 million pounds for. One performance doesn't make a season granted but that was a top display against a side who every bookies has tipped for a straight return to the premiership. If fulham had turned us over like all the bookies expected I imagine you would be one getting carried away questioning every player, got beat by fulham, sold our top scorer, no chance of staying up ect All I can say is I've never heard of this player or seen him play but the recruitment team have obviously watched him and rate him so that's good enough for me.
Brentford have agreed a deal for another striker, Saman Ghoddos, so hopefully that helps us with Kulenovic.
Legia Warsaw playing silly buggers regarding a fee. Bid £3million for him now but won't go any higher. I suspect we will move on to other targets now as we also bid over £1million for Toney which was rejected and won't be going back in for him plus other clubs are interested in getting him.
