Not in the championship, no way. Why ave we sold our top scorer and then making do. This is the championship, it will chew us up and spit us out if we just try and make do. We should have funds, makes no sense.
Again you would think we would learn from experience we got away with it last year following an injury to Moore. Can’t see it happening again in a division higher.
And in Sunderlands case spent silly money on a striker who by all accounts cant be arsed. Seems like he didnt really want to go but obviously money talked.
My mind is blown that the ‘extremely sensible and mature’ consensus on here is that it was fine to sell our top scorer and not replace til January. The club could get away with anything they wanted for some folk.

If the above is the case I can’t help feeling it might actually be better now, rather than rushing someone to keep going down the list, and being held to ransom, wait while January and get something sorted in the meantime ready for then.[/QUOTE] 43 Heard something?
Really. I can. Thats not a slight on the team or management but young players are notoriously inconsistant. Sticking Browny upfront, cos it will do, just wont cut it in this division. IMHO
May or may not be the case - my opinion is that if Brown was picked to play in the middle of a 3 we would see him breaking his neck for the shirt.
Still doesnt mean he would become a championship quality striker tho does it. Cracking player, alot of potential but no way ready to lead the line yet
Not saying he is - I don’t know. However before Saturday’s game I thought that a good deal of the team named had a lot to prove - time will tell. All I know is that Browny is a player that will give it a good go.
Yeah certainly cant fault his effort and passion..... Id just hope for abit more than relying on that after selling one of our leading strikers.
Says the same in the YP. Really surprised that some of our targets are opting fo join Wigan instead of us. With our track record of improving younger players, you would have thought that we are better proposition. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ing-sandro-kulenovic-and-tom-pearce-1-9923847
