My eldest, who has just turned five, has been asking to come to the football for a little while now, and, seeing the chance to potentially watch us play a bit more often on the promise of leaving the wife with at least one less kid, I’ve bought a pair of tickets in the family area for Luton at home. It’s quite a while since I’ve been in the East Upper so I’m not entirely up to speed with what to expect - can anyone offer some insight into what the club now offer beyond the game to keep him amused? For others who have taken kids of a similar age or younger, how did they find it and how was the match/atmosphere to their liking? Any suggestions also as to where’s good to eat with kids after the match? Living a couple of hours away, I’m usually straight back in the car or grabbing fish & chips if I’m on my own.
I was taken at 6 and never looked back....the atmosphere blew me away. Cannot remember who we played but we did win.... I was smitten. Sat in the west stand upper with my Mum & Dad. it was fantastic.

My first game was actually Forest vs Everton. I’ve always felt a bit guilty being a Barnsley fan as it’s effectively ‘changing teams’.
If you all like Pizza Hut you could just go down the hill to the Peel retail park. If your heading South on the M1 you could try Dearne Valley Farm, near the Birdwell junction 36 of M1. Can’t remember which chain it belongs to, but they do a Carvery and a decent Menu. Those giant slices of cake to takeaway might meet with the approval of your Mrs. There’s also a Dunkin Donuts next door if you like that kind of thing.
This. My mate brought his kid along from a pretty young age, and a tablet/phone (plus power-bank) was necessary equipment.
