Radlinger. I’ve seen criticism for him always trying to play out - but that is the tactic of the team set by the coach and he is following instruction. And he made some great saves to keep us in it, plus looks a dominant presence. The best of a not particularly great bunch yesterday.
I can’t vote for Odubajo of Washday and everyone for us was pretty abject so have gone for Mads. Him and Diaby played OK given that they had no support from the full backs.
Went for McGeehan because of his hair. Thought he did ok on a poor day. Didn’t pull up any trees or make any obvious mistakes. Could have gone for Mowatt for similar reasons.
No chance, it was a decent finish from a one on one chance. See if you can see who slipped their winger through and then tell me McGeehan made no mistakes. I like Cam but he wasn’t great yesterday.
Not sure how the keeper is getting so many votes 2nd half rhodes hit a shot should have been a routine stop and he palmed it straight back into the path of a attacker and diaby saved him and blocked it for a corner. Mcgheehan was at fault for the 1st goal gave the ball away far too many times all game and should have been sent off a deliberate hand ball and the the foul he gave away lucky boy. Who voted bahre? His mam? He went AWOL for 60 odd minutes and then subbed cant afford passengers this season Mike, pull your finger out. Only players who were worth a vote diaby,Anderson, cavare and mowatt. Best of a bad bunch imo
Just had a look in my paper at the points awarded to each player yesterday. Wednesdays starting eleven scored a collective 75 whilst our lads got 68. Murphy was the MOM with eight. Radlinger, Sibbick, Anderson and Thomas were all scored as a seven. Not a lot to choose between the teams really. We had 63.7% of the possession and made 487 passes to their 270. On the fouls front, we committed 22, compared to 10 by Wednesday.
Keepers angles were wrong made the goal bigger rather than smaller. Fairly weak shot. Picked up in every report of the game I’ve seen so far.
I agree he positioned himself badly, although the shot wasn't weak, it was passed into the net out of reach of Radlinger because he positioned himself badly. But McGeehan's error in the build up was far more blatant. We had the ball, our keeper shouldn't have been facing an opposition player a few seconds later. That he took the ball from the feet of one of his team mates to play such a perfectly weighted through ball for the opposition made it even worse.
All goalkeepers should be expecting the unexpected to happen every second the ball is in our half of the pitch, let alone on the edge of penalty area, otherwise what's the point?
What? In a list of players who were at fault for the first goal I’d say Mcgeehan comfortably comes top of the pile and Sibbick is before Radlinger. Also Radlinger made a few smart stops coming quickly off his line to stop them scoring, the score line could’ve been a lot worse had it not been for him. Also I’d say Mcgeehan made quick a few mistake yesterday, number one taking the ball off Diaby and playing the ball to nobody which in the end resulted in the first goal. Another mistake being him flying into a bad tackle and getting carded for it.
It’s all opinions. If Radlinger hasn’t positioned himself badly they wouldn’t have scored the first goal. The match could have been different the critical error was his.
Definitely Mcgeehan's mistake. Even if Radlinger could've done better, he would never been in that situation if it wasn't for Mcgeehan's sloppy play.
