It wouldn’t worry me if it indirectly it helped the club to stamp out this behaviour

They’re criminal offences, let’s not ban them temporarily, let’s arrest a couple. Easier to do and sends a message.

Agreed, I was being too lenient. Get these morons out of our club, out of our ground and out of the game.

If arrest one person for diaby chant in question then the would have to arrest every body singing the chant. Where the resources going to come from for may be half of ponty end to be arrested. My other point is is it not time the club followed Huddersfield as example and have what they call a singing section as this did make atmosphere better at there ground

    Why?

It’s absolute nonsense, if I get a speeding fine can I use the defence that other people were also speeding, can’t do me unless you’re doing everyone?

Utter ******, and the kind of idiocy that’s got these idiots thinking they’re safe to be antisocial in a large crowd.

Totally agree, however it is similar to the menace of danger drivers round near where I live - they will see 'punishment' as a trophy which will score them valuable points withing their circle. These lads are of such low esteem that the only people they feel they need to impress are their peers. If they had a bit of self-respect, rose above their circle and tried to respect those who matter - family, loved ones and THEMSELVES maybe they would start to view life differently.

I’m not saying we’re been singled out but our punishment will be harsher than a big club who do the same

Still a racist chant now banned by the club so we could have 20 singing sections in Oakwell but you're still not allowed to sing that one song in them.

We had one at the back of the ponty but we've now closed that section. Some who don't sit up there will say its down to anti social behaviour, I wont deny that the odd occasion this has happened the culprits have quickly been escorted out by stewards or normal fans sitting up there, 99% of the time it is all in good spirits. I have a season ticket up there and every week I get It checked like I'm a 14 year old kid.

It's a song about a black player that references a stereotype about black people. It's not complicated.

It's racist because the song is based on racial stereotype.

The club has now asked twice for supporters to stop singing it and anyone who continues to sing it with those lyrics after today are clearly just going against the same club they're claiming to support. It's backwards, it's wrong and if you get caught singing it you should now get escorted out of Oakwell.

In that case i think it's a good idea and would go a long way in generating an atmosphere i reckon. I think safe standing might be something to look at as well.
