Look absolutely woeful. One shot on target tonight and that was their only goal. Overall it's 4 wins in 54 games! Rumours that Phil Hodgkinson has made use of the parachute money to acquire a large stake in the club from Dean Hoyle. They've hardly spent anything in transfer fees, uproar from the fans because the new owner recently claimed the parachute money is covering wages despite most if not all players being on reduced salaries following relegation. It seems to be getting pretty toxic there and it's falling apart really quickly after they managed to stay in the Premier League the season before last.
Would expect a managerial change fairly quickly. Wouldnt be surprised to see them drop again if they get it wrong.
Reading some rumours saying Siewert has already gone and others saying he will be sacked in the next few days.
I’ve got a feeling they’ll approach the club regardless. All the comparisons sky sports did between Daniel and Wagner last year would make it a lazy option for their club. I don’t feel Huddersfield will be the right club for him to leave to mind, hopefully winkler will be in his ear telling him this.
A 3rd German manager in a row? No, have a change - go for a Portuguese manager instead (& not Mourinho)!
1 win in 7 months. When you go down a league you're suppose to win more games like we did last season.
Wouldn't be surprised all depends if he wants it too then his agent will put him in the mix like hecky did with the sunderland, forest and then leeds jobs
This. Their squad is poor and many don’t seem interested. Their 1st year in Prem was successful as they continued the form and confidence from the Champ. Season 2, as is often the case, they ran out of steam/ideas/quality. I’ve said on here several times before - I can see Hudds dropping down again...... unless they appoint a very good and experienced manager quickly who commands the respect of the dressing room. Anything less than a Tony Pulis type manager would take them down. I think Stendel would also take them down too. Something wasn’t right when Winkler never went back....
Stendel 14/1.... https://m.skybet.com/football/manager-specials/event/24473230 Not a chance when he's achieved nothing at Championship level. They tried to recreate what Wagner achieved so won't try again.
Nigel Adkins possibly? Managed to rebuild his reputation a little with that stint at Hull and handled himself very well bearing in mind the owners there. As Dreamboy points out, they tried to recreate the Wagner effect with Siewert and it's completely backfired. They took Winkler from us and that didn't work out. Perhaps they will go down a different route this time. Chris Hughton wouldn't be a bad shout either but it wouldn't be pretty with his style of football.
This is after he'd been saying that he wasn't in fear of losing his job, because the Chairman had asked him to stabilise the Club and he would be given time to do just that. Just goes to show the effect fan disaffection can have. The pressure has been building and he's now had to pay the price.
Win tomorrow and £3million or whatever the agreed compensation will be credited to our account on Monday and DS will be at Huddersfield. I hope not but you never know with football.
I can see Daniel being interested in the Wednesday job, but not Huddersfield. Too much of a basket case and ultimately a sideways move. Not sure Town will do the German thing again in any case.
He's got less than a year left on his contract so would cost someone probably 200k max if they wanted him based on him being on maybe 4 or 5k a week with us.
Can you sell a head coach on for a profit? Then again, he is in his last year with us and hasn't renewed his contract.
