Must be the excitement of a match day. I come in from Donny so can’t really avoid Stairfoot - is the diesel spill sorted?
Don't think there's any issues there mate. Will update if there are as I am going the opposite way, in 5 mins, to work at Bentley.
I thought it sounded a big spill when they said it was in Cudworth and all up Grange Lane to Stairfoot! Cheers
Haha not sure but I must like it, I’ve lived in DN5 pretty exclusively most of my life, Bentley, Scawsby, Scawthorpe, York Road area. I had brief stints in Scunthorpe, Thorne, Woodlands - and Coventry for uni. Must be a glutton for shitholes! I like it where I am though, bought the house 11 years ago and much to the Mrs’ distaste I don’t want to move.
Jedi One 'The Jossey Lane Warrior'? I was brought up in Wombwell and find Bentley to be the Doncaster equivelant.
193 jossey, just up from mr mowatt and just down from troff, moved to bentley, my old home on the high st is now a funeral directors
i was born in woodlands 3rd ave just off welfare rd most of my dads side are from there i went to adwick washington school ( hostels)for a couple of years before moving to scawthorpe, most of my mums side are from scunthorpe and moorends. small world
Jeez - a Don Valley reunion? I have lived in Scawthorpe - Scawsby for 40 odd of my 50 odd years on the planet. My daughter and son in law were at school with Alex
yes i went to dvhs, via adwick washington, castle hills and bentley new village,"toppo" toplis was my form teacher in the old art block at don valley
I know lots of folk from Doncaster they support the reds . I’m a woodlands lad myself and would love a supporters group of some sort from this area . Busses fit away games and maybe car sharing etc . If I go into Barnsley for a pint after the game it’s a nightmare as the last X19 is 18.20 all other choices are a nightmare tbh . PS I go down Jossey lane and past Alex’s house through to high fields allotments as part of my regular bike rides . Small world innit
I work Cudworth way and live in town so had to use the affected road to get home. It had rained heavily all afternoon and washed the diesel away. There wasn't a sign of it at 5 o'clock yesterday.
That wo me mate, I mentioned Starfoot just because of the knock on effect. Don't know for sure if it did effect it but stairfoot should be fine.
