A nice bit of skill and a calm head from Chaplin when surrounded by opponents and something way out of the ordinary and very special by Woodrow. Be sure to watch the highlights if you couldn't make it.

I don't think we played all that well, but it was a better team performance than that of Charlton who relied on individual skill or individual pace and power to produce anything. The one time they did work as a team saw their opening goal.

I think we're carrying too many players at the moment who aren't producing, but I don't know who we could replace them with. No complaints about effort though, they worked hard.

Couldn't tell the validity of the penalty, it was a packed area with a number of passes and a number of challenges. I'll have to wait for the replays.

If I were to choose a motm it would go to Sibbick who has impressed me so far.

Early days and we didn't lose, I think it would have been an injustice had we done, but if the penalty decision was correct, I'd find it difficult to make a strong case to say we should have won. If it was a poor decision, that's a different matter.

Tale of two penalties if you ask me. Blatant handball at one end but not given. Head scratching decision at the other.

I dont think we played as well as against Fulham but we looked the better footballing team. Charlton will do well this season lumping it into the channels for two strong, quick lads to chase. Thought the back 4 did well in the main and won the vast majority of the duels.

Their penalty was deserved. Clumsy bit of defending from Diaby.

Sibbick seriously wow what do you see he is a liability put defenders under pressure time after time he should be replaced... But back 2 the game played OK attacking we seem a bit short in final 3rd,. 2 lightweight in midfield reff spoilt game for me they should have been down 2, 10 men but onwards 2 miserable Birminghan score draw all over that game..

Even a Charlton can friend of mine said the pen was a very harsh decision...

What were the 2 Barnsley players doing at the throw in. Just stood there and let him throw it over their heads prior to the pass leading to the penalty. Very naive by the defenders.

Sibbick had a good first half but faded badly, I hope Cavare starts on Tuesday, Charlton have 2 good players - 7 & 9, thought we were better everywhere else. I’d need to see the pen again, but it wasn’t looking good for us in the first 10 minuted when Wilks was fouled about 6 times without even a word to their players. Given that we had 7 players starting who’ve never played for us until last week plenty to be encouraged by imho.

That's how I saw sibbock good 1st half poor 2nd not sure how he starts before cavare.
Ben William's started shakey got left for dead a couple of times the really grew into the game and played well.
Wilks played well and created a few great chances but also spurned a few himself.
When jacob brown gets back he is infront of Thomas for me.
Woodrow and Chaplin both scored beuatys

I thought Wilks gave the ball away every time he received it, much like Tuesday. Opinions...

As I said he was wasteful at times and shot when they was no need. He was giving their full backs night mares especially 1st half won us plenty of fouls won headers and created chances one for chaplin 2nd half he should have done better with.

I'm not convinced about Sibbick but let's give him a few games, think he will turn out ok.

I agree about Williams, think he needs to get better at when he lunges and when he just holds off, Brown is ahead of Thomas for me as well.

Diaby was the one who gave the pen away and from previous viewing he’s got it in his locker.

We rode our luck a bit early on, but coped well for most of the game after that. We will be a better team when Brown & Dougall are back. Brown could end up playing the full back role, but Sibbick is looking better for me & could well come through as a good full back. A lot is being asked of our young squad & 4 points from the first 3 games isn't a bad haul.

Unlike his missed chance against Carlisle, good to see Conor keep his composure to score his goal
and Cauley's strike was excellent. Must surely be a candidate for the best goal of the day.
