They’ve changed the laws just for VAR.

If it hits your hand intentionally or not in a build up to a goal then it’s disallowed. Have ya ever heard as much crap in your life.

It’s going to get to the point where there will be no point celebrating a goal for the fear of VAR.

Football in 2 years time is going to be totally different.

It’s ridiculous, which utter moron thought this up??

So if you have a shot drilled in to the box by your player and it catches your arm accidentally then your team mate taps it in they chalk it off.........games gone, it really has!!!

Am all for gol line but that’s it.......

I was prepared to give VAR the benefit of the doubt but the way it's being used has completely changed my opinion.

VAR has completely changed the ethos of the game. It's no longer about scoring goals, but about finding nitpicking reasons to chalk them off.

    Love Barnsley - hate football.

    No it wasn’t.

Offside is offside I get that.

But they’ve changed the laws of the game to fit this var crap. His arms were by his side the whole time absolutely zero intention to gain an advantage there. If anything I’d go with it being a penalty for the spurs player pulling his arm to stop him getting to the ball first.

If it hadn’t hit his arm, they wouldn’t have scored.

Disagree. The ball still would’ve ended in Jesus path.

In the changed laws you’re fully correct the goal was rightfully disallowed. However these rules have been changed just for the benefit of VAR its an absolute farce.

I will argue all day that the goal we’re talking about here should’ve stood. Infact if it wasn’t for VAR nobody would question this for one second and Man City would be sitting on 6 points.

Haven't seen the game but VAR is the best thing ever and it's embarrassing how long it took to be introduced.

100% correct.Been saying it since it was 1st mentioned. The idiots who thought it up should bring some more rules in like playing in straight jackets( solve handballs and little finger being offside).Stop tackling ,stop fans singing, stop fans celebrating a goal oh sorry thats already happening.

Same as the 'goal' last week chalked off because the hair under his armpit was offside.

Mine too. I thought VAR was supposed to be used to eradicate clear and obvious mistakes, not to result in the game being officiated to the millimetre. The offside last week was worse than tonight's over bearing use in my opinion. Even watching the stills for an age and from different angles it still wasn't clear it was offside. That kind of use just turns what is supposed to be a fast and spontaneous game into a boring joyless farce.
